While expensive, even by European standards, high quality Italian options are limited in Abidjan so it's worth the price. The food was great, especially tiramisu dessert, which tasted like tiramisu found in Rome. While service was also good -- the server was attentive, polite, and friendly -- the overall service atmosphere was uncomfortable. There were too many servers literally standing around, watching the few patrons in the restaurant, waiting to pounce on customers. And if they didn't, they were scolded by the Italian manager. This detracted from the overall experience instead of enhancing it and it's the missing 5th star in this review. If the staff was more relaxed then diners will be as well. Moreover, it's generally not appreciated when managers treat their employees in a rough manner, which suggests disrespect. I'm not saying the Italian manager acted like Gordon Ramsey to his staff. Restaurant Regina Margherita is absolutely fabulous! The interior is inviting, sparkling clean, and classy. The attentive wait staff is extremely kind, helpful and gracious. The food is absolutely delicious. If you are not a fan of Salad dressing, and you do order the Chilled Shrimp, Avacado appetizer, I do recommend that you request that the Salad dressing be put on the side. Otherwise, you may find your shrimp swimming in salad dressing, as did we.

I read many great reviews about this restaurant and decided to go for a quick lunch. The pizza is a breath of fresh air and distinctly different from other pizza restaurants in Abidjan. It is authentic Neapolitan style pizza. The dough is lite and airy.

The set up of the restaurant is nice. I peraonally like restaurants with open kitchens or a view of the kitchen (especially in Africa) it shows true confidence in cleanliness and cooking abilities.

Staff is well trained and some waiters speak English. I will come back to this restaurant for pizza and also to try other Italian dishes...
