Hôtel La Paillotte — Restaurant in Comoé

We booked this terrible hotel at the last minute, because all other hotels were fully booked and we were a family of 6 who returned from Assinie that evening because the hotel in Assinie was of poor quality. ||We checked into double room which we discovered the next morning that it was next to a rubbish site. ||Although the room was spacious there was only a bed and a small table.||The bathroom was dirty with a blocked shower drain with obvious mold. Also the toilet area was dirty with black and green mold. On my partner showering that evening in the dark because find the light switch -only to find the water seeping into the room so we had mop the water towards the drain which needed cleaning.||The TV was not working and locked with pad lock and no internet in the rooms. We initially booked a weekend but we moved out the next day due the state of the rooms.||The breakfast was also reflected on the poor quality of service and food. Au niveau des installations, il y a du bon... grande terrasse avec belle vue sur l'océan et un grand nombre de transats et parasols pour en profiter wifi puissant mais fonctionnant de manière aléatoire belle et grande piscine

Et du (très) mauvais: Le gros point noir concerne les chambres: la propreté laisse sérieusement à désirer (même pour un hôtel de bord de mer en Afrique) le lavabo, dont la vasque s'écroulera si on s'appuie dessus et qui, en plus, fuit abondamment les draps/ housses sont certes propres mais présentent d'anciennes taches (de sang pour certaines) les matelas en mousse assurent un soutien très très limité la climatisation est bruyante; il faut l'éteindre la nuit pour dormir (sauf pour les chambres haut de gamme) Il n'y a plus de personnel du tout (à part un gardien) des le début de soirée donc pas de restauration et même pas la possibilité d'acheter une bouteille d'eau sachant qu'il ne faut évidemment pas boire l'eau provenant des lavabos des chambres. il n'y a pas de moustiquaire ; ce qui pose problème car les ouvertures de certaines chambres sont mal calfeutrées. On ne sera donc pas surpris de découvrir en plus cafards ou lézards dans la chambre. attention enfin aux chambres les moins chères (30000CFA/nuit); l'une d'entre elles par exemple ne dispose d'aucun placard ou penderie!

En ce qui concerne le personnel, il est certes peu souriant mais gentil et serviable. Mais là encore, il y a un gros point noir ; les attitudes peu respectueuses de responsable vis à vis des employés ; j'ai par exemple vu l'un des responsables (français) loger le salaire journalier en espèces d'une serveuse dans son soutien-gorge ! Si ce type de comportement est courant (paraît il) dans les bars à strip-tease aux US, il serait évidemment inadmissible dans l'un de nos hôtels français !

'Last but not least' : beaucoup des couples clients de l'hôtel sont composés d'un homme blanc passablement mature et d'une jeune femme ivoirienne. Et si l'on rajoute à cela certains propos entendus sur le travail des Africains, on peut avoir l'impression de remonter 100 ans...
