We were on our way from Phnom Penh to Kampong Cham and stopped at this stretch of rest stop eateries just before the town of Skun. They are popular for those who might want to eat some spiders or bugs. We jsut needed some food and a toilet. The food was alright and the toilets were clean. We had to order several times as they kept saying they were out of what we wanted. Eventually we ended up with some fried rice, fried nodles, and nam-ya soup (came with a whole garden of green things). The retaurant tries to keep the bug hawkers out, but afetr you eat, you gotta play with a huge spider. One place is just...

It is a bit hard to rate this one. The rate here is not to refer to restaurants. I refer to the stop place to see and taste insect, dry fruits. It is perfect to try fresh insect (but be careful with the left over one). The fresh one great but the left over is tasteless for sure. Pls do not consume that is taste awful. You may experience the un-fresh one. Try other store to get the good one (u need to have a good eyes or dare to buy only one to try first) cause some insects are expensive to ask to tast for free. Pls gentlly ask (if it is good I will help u buy more). They will give u...

All fried so that the taste is no doubt destroyed. They even have the little kids wandering around with spiders to temp/terrorize the visitor. If it seems exploitative, it is. You are giving locals some money; it's also perhaps too tacky to be...
