Khayangan Beach Club — Restaurant in Khaet Preah Sihanouk

Just close it up now. This place is so badly managed it is guaranteed to be out of business soon. We go there ahead of time to check the place out, looks nice, open during the day. We go back on the day of our friend's anniversary, they've suddenly changed their hours and don't open until 6pm. Is there even a point to a "beach club" pool resort that isn't open during daylight??? NO, there isn't!!!

Wanting to at least try the restaurant we try coming back at 6(same day) when they said they will be open, only to be turned away because of some "event". Why didn't they tell us that at 2pm when were tere the first time??? They specifically told us we could come back at 6pm multiple times. Or better yet, why doesn't the lazy manager take a half minute to just mark it closed that day on Google?

And, no it wasn't communication issues, we all speak Khmer.

I'll never go again, and I'lll be sure none of my friends are stupid enough to go here either.

Another Asian institution with disgusting acidic Chinese music, which is impossible to listen to, spoils all the good impression of the institution, the feeling that you are sitting in another Chinese eatery, we ran away. The place is beautiful, it is clear that the guys tried hard, the kitchen is not bad, but the service leaves much to be desired. As soon as we sat down at the table, they didn't even bring us napkins, wiped the table after the previous guests at random, and for more than an hour they carried only drinks, not counting the main dishes. Refine the service and change the DJ and you will be able to come there...

Someone decided to build a beach club kilometers away from any real beach, and Khayangan is the result. I imagine it could be a fun, busy place if people were actually touring Sihanoukville, but that’s not the reality. Had a couple of drinks, was mostly ignored by staff, and saw nothing special on the menu. It’s a weird, empty spot in the middle of nowhere that might be fun if you arrived with a few hundred friends. Otherwise, it’s a ghost...
