One More Restaurant Toul Kork — Restaurant in Khan Toul Kork

This is the first time I have been back to a One More restaurant since Covid days. I decided to try the Boeng Kak branch which I did not know. First impressions: it is very much like the Tuol Kork branch, pleasant enough but cavernous. Customers are greeted by young waiters wearing nice traditional clothes. A look at the menu yielded disappointment: they have done away with my two favourite dishes: crab and minced pork wrapped in bamboo sheets and deep fried, known as Heu Keung, a favourite dish from my childhood which they were the only ones to offer in Phnom Penh, let alone Cambodia. Alas no more at One More or anywhere else. The other dish, almost as hard to come by, is a pork sausage where the ground pork has been marinated in Traditional Kroeung spices. In their absence I settled for stir-fried kale and beef (very good but unexceptional and a rather small portion for the price) and Cambodian-style deep-fried spring rolls, in which the tarot-rich stuffing was rather dry and tasteless. Bit pricey for Khmer food, but the space is clean and I love the chic café vibes. I’ve been here 3 times already! Their menu is quite large, and changes depending on time of day. They’re also on Grab for delivery. I will be back to keep trying out new things :)

My favorite dish was beef stew with noodles, which is only available for breakfast menu. Their iced black coffee was also really good, but its pretty sweet. If you like sashimi, I recommend trying the raw shrimp dish, it’s pretty popular. All the sour soups are also very delicious!

I’d pass on the shrimp paste fried rice. The rice didn’t taste fried at all, it was more like a bibimbap...
