The Agora & Apothecary is a fantastic place to frequent at. The establishment is part cafe, part farm market and part gift shop, there is so much to admire there. The look of the whole interior was not busy for a Sunday afternoon, so finding a table was not difficult. I ordered at the counter the Traditional Breakfast with a cup of coffee. The coffee was good with a subtle creamy taste to it. The breakfast was incredible; the bacon was crispy and savoury, the roasted potatoes were very enjoyable, the scrambled eggs had a unique taste from other eggs I have had before, and the sourdough toast was the best toast I had in a while. The staff there were very nice and knew a lot about the business. The scenery outside the interior is just gorgeous from how they maintain the landscape and the outdoor decor. The design and layout of the place is so nice that I would want to eat outdoors there. They even have picnic lunches so you can eat on their lawn. Also, since I came during the early fall, there were lots of Halloween decorations all over the property and their promotion of Terror at Tanglebank event showing their love for the holiday. Overall, I am glad I chose to come to Agora & Apothecary for lunch and wish to come back there very soon. There is so much to like about this place. I guarantee you will enjoy frequenting there.

Finally had the pleasure of visiting this amazing oasis. The gardens are extremely well kept and delightful to wander! Not a weed in sight. The garden center was amazing with lots of varieties, and the gift shop with a whimsical feel is the perfect place to find a special and meaningful gift for yourself or a loved one who has everything! The bistro is run like a well-oiled machine! Fast, fresh and absolutely delicious. All the staff AND owners we got to interact with were SO kind and friendly and eager to share their knowledge of all items on the property as well as stories and the history. Have a feeling I will be returning quite often

Went there in a quiet stat holiday - really nice atmosphere indoor and outdoor. They also have a variety of products display. The food was pretty decent👍🏻the side salad was a good pairing with the main dish. The egg benny would have been too heavy without the salad. Ordered a hot americano; it was mediocre.

I'm not sure when it changed from being a full service bistro to an order at the counter canteen, but it really cheapens the experience and was very disappointing. I would compare it to Wendels in Fort Langley, but Wendels is actually set up to be canteen style with the menu visible from the line and the line keeping to the left and dining tables on the right. The pricing at Wendels also reflects that it is not full service with all but one menu item being under $19. At Tanglebank, the menu wasn't visible and menus were at the counter. Unfortunately the line went right through the middle of the dining space so you couldn't get to the counter to look at a menu. Another table was nice enough to give us 1, which we shared between 6 of us. Also, with all those people lined up in the dining space, it made for an unpleasant space to dine, nevermind the prices being quite high ($20+) for the lack of service. We used to have no problem paying the higher price and would arrive expecting to check in with the hostess and told of a 30 min wait, because then we'd shop in the gift shop or nursery until a table was available. This time I barely saw anyone actually shopping so it seems they're hurting that side of their own business by operating in this way. Also, once seated, it used to feel like a truly elegant and special dining experience. And no, the food was never amazing, but the whole experience overall used to be special and still about 5 stars. I was a bit shocked to walk in and find the chaotic scene it is now. I hope they consider going back to full service, because we won't be visiting again while it remains canteen style. It's lost its charm and is not worth the price. We ultimately walked out this time as the tables next to us said to expect at least an hour wait for the food to arrive, and that was once you were able to make it up to the counter to order it... Very...

Absolutely thrilled with the Agora and Apothecary at Tanglebank Estate! As a long-time customer from the previous ownership, I was initially curious about the transition, but I'm now a forever fan under the new management. The farm-to-table food is simply incredible – fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with love. What truly sets this place apart is the warmth of the staff. Every server and team member greets you with genuine smiles and makes you feel like a lifelong friend.

The new owners are incredibly kind and have so many exciting plans for the future. Plus, keep an eye out for their adorable dog who sometimes makes a cameo! It's a delightful touch that adds to the welcoming atmosphere and having a dog friendly patio is fantastic!

I've been saddened to see some negative reviews that simply don't reflect the magic of this place. In my experience, any minor issue would be promptly and kindly resolved by the staff if brought to their attention. This is a small, local business that truly deserves the support and love of our community. If you're looking for an authentic, heartwarming experience with delicious food, look no further than the Agora and Apothecary at Tanglebank Estate....
