Would just like to respond to Ingrid Bhim’s review towards Addisons! I am the server who was on the floor that day and I had just stepped outside for a break (we all need these)! She did not yell for 10 mins or even 5 for that matter, I have both doors open and if someone is yelling I can certainly hear it! They may have been inside for 1-2 mins before I noticed them and I throughly apologized for my tardiness and explained I was just out on my break! Actually went outside as they were just outside! The gentleman came back in and again I apologized to him replying “it okay no problem, do you have take out?” I handed him the menu and he looked it over and said he needed to go tell his wife what we had! I waited for him to come back in at the counter and he never did! The restaurant also had others come in right behind him and they were seated and served! As far as racial!!!! Absolutely 💯 incorrect stop playing that card it won’t get you anywhere! Truth will...
Read moreWe always check reviews before eating at a restaurant and we were quite disappointed. The pasta that was served to us should have never made it to our table. As soon as the plate was in front of me, I could see that the pasta was over cooked and it was mostly broken. I could not pick it with a fork, it would just fall apart more. Upon further inspection, there was no Alfredo sauce stuck to the pasta. It was all watery at the bottom of the bowl. We brought it to the servers attention and she told us it was a new pasta they started using. We asked to order something different, which was a bit better with lumpy mashed potatoes, bland gravy and the roast beef was thinly shaved because it was tough in my opinion. The only thing that was great on the plate were the mixed vegetables that were cooked to perfection. We gave two stars because the staff was quick to help when we brought it to their attention. The staff was very friendly and...
Read moreAn unexpected gem of a restaurant on highway 41 in Kaladar, Ontario. The restaurant boasts a very homey interior decorated with knickknacks and curiosities of days past. The service was warm and hospitable with the locals also forthcoming with conversations. The restaurant is situated perfectly for cottage country folks, bike enthusiasts passing through and campers. We were headed back to Ottawa from a cottage retreat when we chanced upon this restaurant. We stopped for brunch and ordered off the breakfast menu. The food was fantastic and delicious and honestly fulfilling. Hopefully i can order the eggs benny next time! 10/10 would recommend and will likely visit again! If you're in the area, go check it out!
P.S. There is trivial pursuit on the tables so you can learn something new...
