Food was ok. Wasn’t all that pleased with the crab stuffed mushroom caps. For the price, I expected beautiful fresh flaky crab….not diced pollock. Husbands escargot was ok….needed more garlic and perhaps a nice crust of baked mozzarella cheese? Pasta sides were lovely. The lamb….the taste of mustard was too strong but other than that, we enjoyed it.
Also, ambience. Add some nice Italian music, maybe some checkered table clothes and cloth napkins (certainly not paper!) and some electric table candles and close the drape between the dining room and the kitchen hallway so that your customer doesn't have to sit looking at your cooler and watching the wait staff go back and forth.
I would not have minded the exorbitant prices if all of the above were provided. I expected a first class dining experience and didn’t get it. You can charge high prices when the food is exemplary and the ambiance...

My wife ordered the steamed muscle and I had the 10oz ribeye. Also had the wings to start, the wings were nice hot straight from the kitchen but their nothing fancy just plain generic wings. The steak on the other hand was very juicy and tasty. The baked stuffed potato was also good. My wife enjoyed her muscles but she said they weren't very spicy at all so maybe they spice level could be a little higher. For dessert I had the apple pie and my wife had the red velvet cake. One thing I noticed when first arrived was the dinning area was rather cool and not warm. All in all this restaurant is a hidden gem for sure as I don't know to many restaurants where the owner / chef come out to ask you how your meal was. Highly recommend...
Read moreThis is the EXACT restaurant that you search rural Alberta for! The food was a 10/10 fantastic! The Chicken Romano, straight out of Italy and the pizza was divine. The chef comes out to ask how things are, the wait staff were super friendly. Anyone who complains about the price should try running a restaurant and getting fresh food in rural Canada.
