Definatly save your money! It took 35 minutes after placing our order for 3 regular ice cream cones and 1 Smarties flurry to get the 3 ice cream cones and to be told they didnt have the Smarties flavour anymore and therefore had to order a different flavour. Another 15 minutes of waiting for the new flavour resulted in my bf asking for his money back. 50 minutes of sitting and waiting for a flurry is ridiculous but apparently it was more ridiculous to ask for our money back. The mean and extremely rude older man behind the counter nearly went ballistic at the idea of returning our money so we could just take the kids and get out of that dump. All in all that day, we sat around in the hot sun outside because it was hotter inside the building than it was outside and the 2 kids practically had to sit on strangers laps who were kind enough to allow the kids to sit with them in the shade. The next day while passing by Lamont again we were in a hurry and the kids needed to eat so we stopped in to order 2 grilled cheese sandwiches. The price for a single barely warm grilled cheese sandwich was ridiculous and asking for ketchup practically brought down some serious wrath from the extremely mean and rude woman who appeared to be the wife of the extremely mean and rude man from the day before. I will never ever in a million years ever stop by this place as judging from the state of the kitchen and non renovated portion of the place, about a thousand different health and safety codes are probably being violated every minute. The portion of the building that was being renovated was covered only by a thin ill fitting peice of plastic that blew more dust around than it was containing in the renovated area. The whole place was so dusty that my bf's 5 year old sat at the table sneezing and wheezing which brought more glares from the hateful looking lady and man. When a 3.5 year old girl goes into the bathroom and comments about how dirty it is and she cant use this bathroom, i think that should sum up the state of this dump and the extremely awful and rude and nasty looking people who run it. The only good thing I noted about the place was that on a Sunday evening, there was a very pleasant and diligent teenage boy cleaning up the tables and commenting to the mean lady that I had been standing waiting to place my order for about 5 minutes. Good luck to you young man and hope you realize you are far too good to be wasting your time working...
Read moreAfter reading the reviews for Lamont Burger Baron my hubby and I weren't too sure we wanted to eat here. We decided we will try it and make our own opinion of them. So glad we did try them! Last night, we called in advance as I read another review that said fried chicken was delicious but required 20 min wait time to cook. So we called with about 12 min notice and had to wait about another 10 min for our meal. I had a 3 piece chicken meal and it was delicious! There was a lot of fries and their gravy was so awesome, I could have drank it! Chicken was hot and juicy. I ate my whole meal (except for the bun) & I normally never finish a 3 piece meal but it was so good I couldn't stop. The burger my husband had was a typical fast food burger. He said it wasn't the best he has had but certainly wasn't the worst. We also shared a large chocolate milkshake that was also enjoyable. As this was our first time to a Burger Baron in a number of years we weren't sure what options there were. When I called in our order I advised the lady of this and she was super helpful and patient. With A&W no longer offering fried chicken (which is my favorite place to get it), I will be making Burger Baron the place to get my fried chicken! The only reason I gave 4 ☆ rather than 5 is due to price. It was quite pricey even for a small town. The bacon cheese burger, 3 piece chicken dinner & milkshake was just over $34. We understand they have to make money with likely less traffic coming in but it was still a bit much. However, the food was good and plentiful so we...
Read moreThis is what being the only game in town looks like.
Went through the drive through and after a few minutes I figured out the speaker was a not working.
Drove up to the window and I swear the woman said "what do you want".
I asked for the two piece chicken combo she said not looking at me in a sullen voice " it'll take 20 minutes we cook it fresh. That's fine but it would be nice if the drive thru indicated it.
I said okay I guess I'll just have fries and a Coke. She grunted at me and told me how much it was. $3.50 for a small fry. And these were not special hand-cut fries or anything these were run-of-the-mill French fries.
The woman at the drive-thru window must have been an owner because if an employee acted like that they get fired.
Maybe she was having a bad day. If she was she shouldn't have been dealing with the public because I will never go back there and do...
