Came here as a recommendation from family. Very neat stuff all over the walls including little pages of history about the town and the saloon. Barely enough servers to manage the busy place, as well, there were lots of mix ups and forgetfulness on the waiters behalf. The price for what you get is outrageous. Lots of little things are charged for, even water is 2 dollars which usually comes free. The food tasted good, but no where near worth the 20-30 bucks we spent on it. ——— In response to the owner I do understand now with the water, I didn’t know y’all operated on a well system so my apologies, it makes sense now. I hope y’all do manage to find some workers, I’d love to work there but it’s much to far from where I live. As for the prices, my father had a wrap that had maybe two small bits of the roast, the rest was pretty much lettuce and it didn’t come with a side. That was around 15 bucks iirc. I had a plain kids cheeseburger with a small side of fries. A 2 dollar upcharge for a thin slice of cheese I don’t think would sit well with most, considering it’s always packed plum full of customers. That made up to 20 bucks. My mother had a burger as well, with some extra stuff and fries and it also ended up to be around 23 bucks. My sister had a burger with a gluten free bun as she is celiac and it also came to around 20 bucks despite not having fries because of the cross contamination in the fryers. She was still hungry by the end of it so she had to pay extra for a side salad. All in all, I wouldn’t consider the food to be special or unique to justify the price apart from the rather remote (and don’t get me wrong, fascinating) location. Again, don’t get me wrong, the food was good and the place looks amazing inside and I love the little history sheet you can get, I’d just let others know if I’m referring them a restaurant, that it would be a little different to their usual dining experience.

I’ve been to Last Chance Saloon four times now, and every time I bring someone new, I get the same reaction: “Wait… what is this place?” And then, by the end of the meal, “That was really good, thanks for bringing me here.”
The food is the real deal. The smoked meat is a must—honestly, it should come with a warning label for how addictive it is. Everything on the menu is delicious, generously portioned, and priced so reasonably I half expected someone to chase me down for forgetting to pay the rest. I even brought family from out of province, and they’re still talking about it. (Mostly about the how great the food was… and the decor and maybe a small up charge for the water).
Ah yes—the water. Don’t ask for tap unless you want to be politely offered a bottle instead. They run on a well system, so it’s bottles only, and yes, you’ll be paying for it. Consider it part of the experience. Plus, it’s cold and refreshing, and who really cares when you’re in a really fun restaurant that crosses many bridges to get to. Getting to the Last Chance Saloon is a lot of fun and in my opinion, part of the experience.
Service can be on the slower side, but you’re in a busy little tourist town, not a drive-thru. The wait actually flies by thanks to the wonderfully odd decor. There’s so much to look at, I’ve now spent more time analyzing the walls than I did choosing my meal.
The staff are friendly, the vibe is easygoing, and the whole place has that “you’ll laugh, you’ll eat too much, and you’ll definitely come back” kind of charm
Shout out to the servers and the cooks. You’re doing a great job.
Also the responses to the reviews has me laughing. Keep doing what you’re doing, I’ll keep...
Read moreJust want to give a HUGE shout out to Paula and her wonderful crew!! From the moment we walked in the door to check in to our room we were treated like gold!!! We quite often ride to Wayne to enjoy the patio at Last Chance Saloon and so when we got tickets to see The Dead South at the Amphitheater 20 minutes away I looked into places to stay and thought I wonder if they have any rooms available 🤔.....sent an email and was told they absolutely had a room for us so I booked it!! When we arrived at about 4-5pm there was a line up to get in to eat and we mentioned to Paula that we'd like to grab some food before we headed to the concert and she said 'oh! Just the two of you?! I can go and reserve you guys a seat right now!' I enjoyed an amazing Chicken Ceasar Wrap and stole my hu-!bbys baked bean, while he had an amazing loaded hot dog and loaded potato! We had arrived too late to try a Flatbread but I had it for lunch today 😋😋😋 it was drool worthy!! The food is always amazing here! But being our first overnight experience let me tell you this place did not disappoint!! Wayne is a ghost town, and so I was excited to see whether we would have any 'ghostly experiences ' and there was a strange ticking noise in our room right after we crawled into bed!!.....it had my hubby up and out of bed chasing it from one side of the bed to the other!!We had a great sleep and got up and had a relaxing coffee on the back little deck area big enough for a couple people, then mosied on down to the patio and enjoyed some amazing food!!!
You truly should come check this place out!! There's always alot of motorcycles, usually some nice hot rods and yesterday there was a hearse there!
Most unique lodging and amazing...
