Lily's Steak & Pizza — Restaurant in Alberta

Overpriced, overcooked food. Last night we ordered 2x fish & chips basket (hard as a rock) 1x kids meal - dino nuggets (received regular nuggets? not dino… ) 1x dill pickle spears (insanely overcooked) 1x clam chowder (only thing that was good.)

We spent 80.95 and when we opened our bags up, our food was so overfried/overcooked that we could barely eat it. It’s such a shame that the only good place to eat around here has gone to such a shame. We drive from lamont because Gondola’s cook is a weird guy and always hits on me. and always takes forever (30-45 minutes.) We won’t be back to Lily’s after this experience. You think it’s okay to serve customers very overcooked food that’s not even palatable? You guys weren’t even busy! There was no one else in the restaurant rather than the cooks, waitress/server and her children! Have your server/waitress’ baby sitting their children while on shift???...

We accidentally came on this restaurant when we were driving through town one day. My wife and I went in for dinner and we were absolutely pleasantly surprised a very clean modern restaurant in the middle of a little town. The food was outstanding. The prices were reasonable. The service was excellent, the owner came up and introduced himself to us. The service was fabulous and it was a pleasure to be able to have a great meal and a great environment and not walk out of the restaurant hungry or disappointed if you’re anywhere near Fort Saskatchewan or the northern part of Edmonton a nice drive up to Gibbons to this restaurant will be absolutely worth your while, you’ll think your dining in a five star restaurant food quality is excellent. This restaurant is a gem in the middle of nowhere. The servers are friendly and helpful. The tableware is classy, seating is comfortable, and even the restrooms are nice. Their style of cooking is good and flavorful without being salty. The clam chowder is excellent and highly recommended. Actually, they serve a different soup everyday and each one has been very good, so I never miss a chance to order soup whether it’s part of my meal or not. Lily’s has free WiFi so you stay connected during your visit. On the weekend that I came, I noticed that people have phoned in their pizza order - I have yet to try those, but it must be good as patrons would order 3 or more boxes for takeout.
