Rendezvous — Restaurant in Alberta

A couple of weeks ago I drove to Rendezvous in Rimbey to try there all you can eat gourmet poutine as I was told it was to die for! Well... they were right!! The toppings were so delicious and there were so many choices to choose from! The only thing I would have changed, and it is just a personal preference, was the fries were to crispy and well done for my liking. But wow did the quality and quantity of toppings ever make up for that and then some! Many choices of cheese and sauces, different meats, mushrooms and chives as well as real bacon bits and even a fried egg if you want! I highly recommend anyone from Red Deer and area to treat yourselves and your loved ones to a scrumptious Canadian meal out! Everything about the experience was fine. The food tasted good. The service was good. The restaurant looked fine. Everything was good. Obviously, they have a problem with food, storage, or food preparation. The problem is getting ill later in the evening as your body tries to expel the food. I’ll rate the pain at nine or five stars. Great little small town sandwich and poutine restaurant. I had a chicken - bacon ranch sandwich with sesame slaw. While I'm not overly fond of salad dressings that have a sweet touch to them the slaw was very good. I would have preferred a little more sesame and a little less sweet but it was fresh, crunchy, and generally good, as well as a sufficiently large quantity as well. The sandwich was excellent, loaded to overflowing with chicken and plenty of bacon too. Definitely be going back to this place. Service is friendly and helpful...
