Was expecting typical truck stop food and that is precisely what we got.

The fish and chips, comprising frozen fish portions and frozen fries, were fair-sized portions. While not impressive, they were acceptable considering they were frozen.

Another member of our party ordered the special, an 8 oz prime rib. However, it was not prime rib; it was a New York cut. We are well-versed in cuts of beef, and this was definitely not prime rib. Furthermore, it was ordered rare, but it was well done. The New York steak cut lacked seasoning.

*UPDATE: In response to the manager or owner, we would like to clarify that we are proficient in reading, writing, and understanding English. We specifically mentioned prime rib because it was listed on the daily special board. Therefore, we question why it was written as prime rib if, in fact, you only offer rib eye steak. Had it been accurately written, this misunderstanding would have been avoided, as the guest does not care for that particular cut of beef. Moreover, it was not a rib eye steak, as claimed. *

The mashed potatoes lacked flavor, but thankfully, there was gravy to compensate. However, the gravy was lumpy. The minestrone soup, which accompanied the special, was good.

HORRIBLE ... some woman from staff flipped out on us because my husband used the EMPTY woman's washroom because someone was in the men's and was in for a while and he thought maybe someone accidentally locked it or was going to be awhile. She screamed at us very unprofessionally as she wanted to use the washroom saying there are others at the other end of the store. If that was the case she works there and knows that then is it not her responsibility to go there. Or should someone with an urgent need go on the floor just to keep her big mouth shut.. suck it up lady it's the 20th century and segregation is a thing of the past. I hope that the owner of this place is aware or how she treats his customers. I won't buy anything there again or stop for that matter and I will tell every one I know to avoid it. Nasty behaviour from an adult if that is what she calls herself...

The restaurant is well known for variety and specific ethnic food nights. The staff is awesome and fun. If you haven't ever heard your waitress sing, you really need to get here. The food is tasty! The convenience store is big, and well stocked, for travellers and snacking transports. Most notably, there are Indigenous items and Indigenous-inspired items and rightly so, you are on the land of the Sawridge and in Treaty 8 Territory. Tawâw! Hiy, Hiy. There is a large gas bar w service. There are other businesses connected here...maybe a hair cut, facial hair maintenance while your tires are being repaired or changed? The south shores of the Lesser Slave Lake is a 2 minute...
