First experience this year was Mother’s Day and all was Fabulous!! Last week we returned and ordered the fish and chips as it was so very perfect the first visit. This time … not so much. Instead of a light fried batter, moist glistening fish ..all tasting delicious, I was served a dark oily batter, undercooked batter next to the over - cooked fish 🤦🏼♀️ Pieces were also much much smaller than before. Btw.. last year fish & chips were delicious also. Told/showed server who offered to replace, but since a mix up when our original order was placed, my meal came out about 10 -12min after my guest. Wasn’t worth the further delay imo Wondering if they changed suppliers of their fish product since midMay ??
We eat there frequently when camping in Kananaskis, but no more fish and chips (which were delicious) for me. From experience, the homemade soups and sandwiches are delicious as well, & the burgers are very popular (steady delivery of these to guests)
If the fish supplier was changed since midMay , not a good choice in my opinion. Otherwise, not sure what...
Read moreI'm not one to leave mediocre reviews as I love every place I dine in at, however I believe everyone should know this. Today when my family and I came in to eat, we ordered a good amount of food (bill was around $160 including tip), our server was great, checked in during the fifteen minute mark and always asked if we were doing okay, however towards the end of our meal, the hostess started to gossip. She talked about how men came in to check in for golf, and how a "cowboy" called her ma'am and how she hated to be called that. Obviously she helped them first, but after they left she immediately went over to the bar and started gossiping with her co-workers very loudly. I can't remember her name, however I know she had medium ish length blonde hair, with lash extensions, and EXTREMELY dirty converses. Who knows, maybe after we left she had something to say about us...
Read moreMy kids took me for a game of golf for my birthday. We started the twilight session with a visit to the Summit Restaurant for an early dinner. First of all the place is surrounded by stunning views of the mountains like I have never seen before. I kept having to pinch myself to believe the beauty that surrounds this location. The menu is varied and has something for everyone. I decided on the Beef Dip sandwich which consisted of shaved prime Alberta rib eye steak served on a pretzel bun with a lovely mild horseradish sauce and accompanied by fries and a savory au-jus with a pickle on top. I also enjoyed a pint of their Tool Shed Amber Lager beer. The service was top-notch and we all enjoyed this meal immensely. Can't wait to come back...
