It's s Friday lunch on a ball freezing winter day, and this stop is a truckers refuge of paradise I had a poutine and deep fried pickles (I know. Healthy choices!) And both meals were amazing value for the dollar. The poutine was so swimming I cheese and Gravy it was basically "a fatmans stew" The deep fried pickles suprised me. These ain't no regular battered spear. The batter was and dipping sauce were well seasoned with a mild kick of awesome sauce!!! Theyre slices, not spears, which is a perfect driving fod, they don't feel as thick and girthy n my hand when I hold it, but that's okay.. They're still simply scrumptious My server, SUBLIME AND SUPERB! She's super sweet, fast, efficient, kind, courteous and on point in EVERY possible way. She made me feel right t home and comfortable as if I was back In my own home town small northern Alberta burger bar. She's simply the best, better than alllll the rest SHOWERS ONLY 10 BUCKS! So bring a towel! Because the food here's so good.... you'll NEED to clean up after you finish 🤣😉🤤

Note: Pictures of times/products/prices may not be accurate due to Covid, please call ahead to confirm. This place was sold in 2011 and since then, has fallen on harder times than ever. The restaurant food we had was delicious, the burgers are VERY thick, juicy and delicious. Basically a truckers dream, has gas pumps, showers, warm food, cold drinks, they now serve alcohol and still serve delicious pie. Cant really go wrong here, but yeah, the old owners sold and obviously quality has gone down a bit, but this spot will always be the place to be for those of us that grew up around here and have memories of this being the best food for miles around.

My friends and I made a stop in here on our way home from a camping trip and it was exactly what we all needed. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. I had the chicken noodle soup and BLT which was delicious. Several people got poutines which looked, smelled, and tasted delicious. The service was also excellent and the food came quickly. I will happily return next time I am in the area.

First time stopping. Figured, "It's a truckstop, gotta be good food". I've never stopped at a truck stop that had fancy dishes, but the food served was always excellent in portions sized and taste. Yeah, not this time. The portion size was what I expected, more than I could probably eat at a sitting. I ordered fish and chips, my wife a burger and fries. The fresh-cut fries were still raw and hard. The gravy was a tasteless brown paste that salt did nothing for. My fish was equally tasteless. Normally tartar sauce is used to complement the taste of fish, in thus case, it was the only taste. My wife experienced the same with her burger. As if the cook forgot to actually season it while it was cooking. It was dry, as if it had been cooked from a still-frozen commercial patty. We looked around at the other patrons who were digging in with gusto and decided that we were perhaps food snobs. My wife left about 1/3 of her meal on her plate, I packed up my 2 and a half pieces of fish and a handful of fries to bring home to my dog, after all, I paid $15 for it. My wife went to the washroom. Three stalls, but only one with paper and you didn't know that until you sat down. This was an instance of "one and done" for us. I'd give it a...
