For an impromptu get-out-of-the-city dinner, The Market Bistro at Three Sisters in Canmore did not disappoint. We made a reservation over the phone, as we weren’t sure what was open since the COVID restrictions had started to lift. We were welcomed by lovely staff who let us choose a table, the restaurant had other people but was spaced out and gave our family ample room. The meal was superb with lots of options, my daughter is lactose free, and even though they were out of their dairy free cheese, they were still able to accommodate a finicky 8 year old with the daily special of spaghetti with tomato sauce and baguette with oil and vinegar. My husband and I shared the Nicoise Salad with Tuna seared to perfection, Roasted Tomato Bisque soup and Caprese salad, and risotto was also cooked to perfection with a pile of sautéed field mushrooms, asparagus and pistachios which made a great texture combination. Thanks Market Bistro for bringing some normalcy back to our life! We hope to come back again soon.

I took my mom and aunt for lunch after reading all the good reviews. My experience was not the best. First, the restaurant was extremely loud. It felt like I was in a pub at Friday night or something. We couldn't hear each other and was very hard to talk. Second, we waited over 30minutes to get our food and we were not advised of any long waits during waiting time. Third, they serve water in a moldy waterbottle... their food was overall very salty but I didnt want to drink the water. Last, their food is overly priced and doesn't taste good. Their spaghetti tasted like it was made from canned pasta sauce and just grounded meat but the price was $30... more than half was left over... I also have an upset stomach now after the visit.. I dont know if it was because of the moldy water or the food... Servers were nice and caring but I wouldnt make the visit again..

It's a chilly night with snow gently falling, and a tall wooden building with light glowing out of the windows beckons warmly. Inside are jars of pickled mushrooms, beet pesto, duck pate etc that we purchase before we take our seats. Glad to pull our masks down and breathe openly, we peruse The Happy Hour and Specials which are great deals here. However, we had a yearning for mussels and egad! how wonderful that we indulged it. The mussels are EVERYTHING. Personally, I would make this dish larger and have it as an entree on the menu, not an appetizer. It comes with some fresh bread to mop up the liquid gold juices. We followed that with duck confit which was also very delicious and the sweetness of the candied pecans contrasted nicely with the salty crispy skin. The service was excellent, social distancing was well done. We will return.

2 stars because the food was not horrible... unfortunately the service left much to be desired.

We had a reservation for 10 of us at the beginning of July (made the reso months before) celebrating a bachelorette party. When we came in, we were greeted and sat at our table. The restaurant was quite busy (inside and patio) so we expected a bit of a longer seating time. Our waitress took our drink orders and our drinks took around 15 minutes to hit the table; once they were served we ordered our food (no appetizers, just entrees).

Unfortunately, we watched the restaurant empty out, and parties being sat, ordering, eating and paying before we had even gotten our meals. This may have been less of a let down if our drinks were refilled however, the server did not visit our table again after taking our order, and attempts to flag a server down were unsuccessful. After 90 minutes had passed, our waitress said "oh sorry maybe we forgot about you," and our food was served 5 minutes later.

Needless to say we explained that we were quite frustrated with our experience. We were offered free dessert however, we did not want to wait any longer as we had other plans that we were late for. The server was apologetic and offered, what I believe was 50 dollar gift cards for our meals. However, one of the girls that paid (her bill was 25 dollars) was going to give the remainder of the gift card toward another bill but the server took it away and said "there's only a few dollars left anyways." Overall the experience was disappointing.

As a few of us have managed at restaurants before, and are completely empathetic to the fact that mistakes in service happen, but 90 minute bill times and no drink refills is just not an acceptable guest experience. Perhaps they do not accommodate larger groups very efficiently; if this is the case, I would suggest communicating this to your patrons. Hopefully this was a rare occurrence however, I likely won't be recommending or...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Market Bistro and I must say, it was a truly delightful experience. The food at this restaurant is nothing short of exceptional. Every dish I tried was bursting with flavor and made with the finest ingredients.

The wine selection at The Market Bistro is extensive and impressive. The sommelier was knowledgeable and recommended the perfect wine to complement our meal. The variety of options available ensured that there was something to suit every palate.

The service at The Market Bistro was top-notch. The staff was friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure that we had a memorable dining experience. They were knowledgeable about the menu and provided excellent recommendations. The waitstaff was prompt and efficient, making sure that our glasses were never empty and our needs were always met.

One of the highlights of The Market Bistro is its outdoor patio. The ambiance is charming and inviting, with comfortable seating and beautiful decor. It is the perfect place to enjoy a meal and soak up the atmosphere. Whether you're looking for a romantic dinner or a casual lunch with friends, the outdoor patio at The Market Bistro is a great choice.

Overall, I highly recommend The Market Bistro. The food, wine, and service are all exceptional. And with its lovely outdoor patio, it's the perfect place to enjoy a delicious meal in a...

We came here on a Friday afternoon, having read good reviews about this place. From beginning to end the experience was awful. We walked in and all wait staff were sitting on their phones as the place was empty. True that there is no ventilation as someone else had stated. The entire place smells of curry and spices and there is no airflow in the restaurant. The waitress helping us was rude and abrupt and seemed like she just wanted to go back on her phone instead of helping. Also be warned that they “don’t make sandwiches on weekends”. Even though a Friday afternoon doesn’t fall under “weekend”. We ordered a flatbread, French onion soup, and steak Panzinella, ordered medium rare. The flatbread tasted like frozen pizza and had no flavour. It had shredded cheese that tasted old. The steak came out raw. You could not cut through the steak and you can tell that it was raw because the fat wasn’t rendered, and still white. The French onion soup tasted like it came from a box, and had stale breadcrumbs (not crispy or toasted, stale). The cheese used for the soup was shredded store bought mozzarella on top. Not Gruyère. We didn’t get to eat any of the steak but they gave us an extra soup free of charge and didn’t charge us for the steak. Overall it was a disappointing experience. Especially that I am now going home smelling like the restaurant from head to toe, and still...
