First time here today, and a lovely spot. The backyard is full of Muskoka chairs, and small tables with umbrellas for shade. Many on the flat rocks bordering the river, but you have to walk down a flight of stairs. There is also a small patio where you can sit and still enjoy the scenery from further up, just outside the back door. Beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing.

Very small inside for seating, as there are only three tables for two people.

Sandwich and a small salad was $12.95. I had the ham, apple, and brie cheese sandwich with mayo and dijon mustard. Delicious! The broccoli, apple salad was okay. Healthy, as it didn't have much dressing, but it lacked flavour.

The gelato was yummmmy! Very reasonable prices. $3.95 for one scoop, $5.95 for two scoops. Three scoops was also an option.

Coffee prices were on par with any other cafe. Both the drip coffee and latté were really good. Regular and dark roast were available. Cookies, and smaller sweet treats were for sale and I found the prices cheap. Most under $2.

Many local products are for sale (coffee, honey, maple syrup...) and also advertising for local businesses such as an apple orchard for buying and picking.

Enough staff, so there was no wait time. They were prepared for many customers on a busy beautiful, 28 degree Sunday afternoon. More people there only for gelato, but the weather may have attributed to that.

Staff were super friendly, and down-to-earth. Megan, Manon, and Joe (Nathalie, the owners husband) were all non-stop busy taking care of customers today.

It was a nice road trip today, and I will...

Hidden gem of a pit stop in Plantagenet! Not far off the Prescott-Russell pathway and a great spot for lunch or gelato! We actually heard about this spot from a fellow rider we met in PEI this summer who said they come here often for this bakery/cafe and now I know why! Great panini sandwiches, homemade soups and salads, and the cookies were to die for. I had a pesto broccoli soup that was delicious with a Greek orzo salad and a raspberry chocolate chunk cookie that was so yummy. They even had Italian soda that was so refreshing after a ride. You order before you sit and head outside by the river to several eating options; benches, tables under umbrellas, on the deck, in chairs right by the water…beautiful location and the food was yummy! We will be back...

Natalie was so accommodating to my friends and I when we arrived on bikes to her cafe a few days ago. Despite it being a bit past season for most cycling, she welcomed us so openly and unlocked the gate to the back beautiful area of the cafe so our bikes could be safe. She made us feel so welcome, and even brought us extra soup so we could all warm up. The food was amazing, and the scenery with the river in the backdrop was so lovely. My friend and I had to pop by on our bike back 2 days later because we had such a great experience. Joe was there and so accommodating too, and the food was again exceptional. I cannot rave about this place enough! It's a must stop for cyclists and for anyone. It will be a place I will continue to visit...

Very pleasant experience. It's in a house which is a bit odd (but they have made it work) and the parking is tough but once you are in the building and outside in the back it's very pleasant. The prices were extremely reasonable considering "inflation" now a days. There is a gift shop as well in the house which had really cute and reasonale prices. The coffee, sandwhich and gelato were very tasty. The best part of the whole place is the back outside - there is a ton of chairs right next to the river which is nice to relax, eat and drink. Staff were very friendly as well. Highly reccomend for a fun brunch/lunch spot.

Amazing for ice cream. It looks beautiful but very dangerous. They don’t bring the food out to you. Just put it outside so I hurt myself very bad because I had to carry my own tray so if you’re not a waitress, this is not the place for you or if you’re older.. There’s steps everywhere and there is a caution sign, but the problem is when you have to carry your own stuff you can’t see it because of the tray it was very expensive. I ruined a lot of stuff not a great experience. I didn’t even have any coffee and said do you want us to make a new one?
