Ford's Cove Restaurant — Restaurant in Area A (Baynes Sound)

I LOVE Fords Cove! The view is magical, especially the evening sun setting down with mountians and the marina. The food is phenomenal! They used to be the fish + chips food truck, and have since moved into the restaurant expanding their menu. Everything is FRESH and they use local when possible. The staff are always amazing!! They even remember my order and allergies when we come in, they are so accommodating and friendly. Yes it's loud in there (when busy), but it's easily overlooked and well worth it for EVERYTHING else they have/do. (You can't get a building with such high vaulted ceilings + floor to ceiling windows, without some echo noise.) I highly recommend you come earlier and walk along the rocks. The sandstone and fossils are so unique and well worth the stroll. Also the corner store downstairs, has a little bit of everything, in the event you need something ♡ plus they're open until 8PM, so if Co-op is closed, there is always another grocery store open. (Stock comes mostly from Costco.) Plus they have the cutest little video rental section (watch out Blockbuster, Fords Cove is killing it for the nostalgia LOL) And Pizza! (It's really good pizza too!) There is a little bit of everything here.... Including a campground and cabins! There is nothing like this place, I highly recommend it. Come make an afternoon/evening out of it ♡ You won't regret...

the food was good. The chicken strips were crispy and delicious. Fish and chips were very well executed. On a sunny summer day, however, it is a miserable place to go. The restaurant looks great and the building is lovely but there are no umbrellas on the patio. The patio is incredibly hot. There is air-conditioning inside but it is underpowered and does not keep the place cool. There are no blinds or canopies or any sun protection at all. It’s just straight up hot inside or outside. Food also took an hour even though we came early. Overall a tough experience especially if you have kids. It seemed like the locals were not interested in waiting in any lineups intended to blow by the lineup and just take tables at Will. So it was a bit of a free-for-all to get a spot even though you’re supposed to wait...

We had the opportunity to stop in for eggs Benedict, my eggs were cooked perfectly, hollandaise sauce was delicious, came with a side of cubed Hash browns. The service from the kitchen was very fast.

We had incredible service, the waitresses went out of their way to make our experience extra special with a photo.

The restaurant has incredible views, most likely, you will have the opportunity to see wildlife, we had sea lions feeding right outside the window. The day before we saw whales traveling by. :)

The atmosphere was great, the restaurant was very clean, well organized, and bathrooms were great!
