I recently visited Timberland Pub for lunch with three of my coworkers and our instructor during a training session at the Western Maritime Institute.
Timberland Pub is quite popular among the locals, and there is plenty of parking available. The entrance is simple, and the first thing that struck me was how clean and well-kept the place is. It doesn’t have that typical pub ambiance smell, which is quite refreshing. The seating areas and bar counters have a standard pub setup with a rustic look, similar to many other pubs I’ve visited.
When we arrived, there were only two tables occupied, likely due to the time and day of the week. However, I was informed that the place gets very crowded in the evenings, which didn’t come as a surprise.
The service was good. The staff were super friendly and attentive, which added to the positive experience..
I was pleasantly surprised to see some non-traditional pub main dishes on the menu, such as Butter Chicken, Curry Chicken, and Prawns and Spinach Curry. These options were a delightful change from the usual pub fare.
I ordered the Curry Chicken, and it was delicious. The portion size was great, and as someone whose favorite dish is curry, I can confidently say it met my expectations. My coworkers who ordered the Butter Chicken also enjoyed their meal and praised its taste. The others ordered Pakora and Fries and was equally satisfied with the quality of the food.
We were all happy with the dishes, the prices were reasonable, and the service was excellent. Given the combination of good food, friendly service, and reasonable prices, I would definitely recommend Timberland Pub. It's a great spot for both locals and visitors looking for a satisfying meal in a welcoming...
Read moreService was ok. Waitress got annoyed when we asked for water and delivered all the meals about 5-7 minutes separately so some of us were halfway finished eating by the time others got their food. Keep in mind it was not very busy at all while we were there with about maybe 10 other people in the restaurant. The worst part about it is that all of our drinking cups that were brought to us were disgustingly dirty and looked like they haven't been cleaned, same with the water jugs. They were foggy and had chunks stuck to the inside of them, obviously something is wrong with their dishwasher in the back and nobody bothered to attempt to clean them again or even looked at them before serving them to us. I also ended up cutting my leg on their booth seat as there was multiple nails sticking out from underneath, which isn't their fault but they should definitely check for those. Its a shame to see the Timberlands pub go down hill like this after so many years of great service, the last few times I've come its been everything except enjoyable. Especially when I ended up with food poisoning for 5 days after eating their butter chicken a year or so ago. I hope the new management manages to fix these issues and bring back the pub we all...
Read moreMy husband and I have been frequent customers at the Timberland Pub. There was a time near the end of the initial quarantine for Covid that we had a couple of bad experiences but I’m very happy to say that things have really improved. The food is consistent and good although, if you’re there for a burger, know that for an added price you can ask for the homemade patti which I would highly recommend. Only the “Workman” burger is now automatically made with the homemade burger patti and I get it with Covid they’ve had to make some changes. Having said that, in response to reduced capacity due to Covid they have not raised their prices through the roof like some places. The food is consistently good (shout out to the chefs) and our two favourite servers are Christa and Cyan, thank you for always brightening our day when we come in! Unfortunately some of the servers are not so great. They lack attention and memory. On several occasions we have asked for condiments, plates, utensils and in the end have gone to Christa or Cyan (who were not our server) or gotten...
