BEST FISH AND CHIPS ON THE ISLAND! Locals, if you haven't tried this place, you're missing out. Vacation-ers, THIS is the place to get your fill of quality fish. My husband and I are from Minnesota, visiting for motorcycle training at the Enduro Park, and this place has been our go-to for dinner almost every night we can. We LOVE the batter they use on the fish, the crunch is amazing. The fish is so tender, moist, and perfectly cooked with the right amount of sturdy flakey that everyone loves. Every. Single. Time. We've never had better fish - this is the place! Secret menu item, if you're looking for a treat, is to try the clam chowder poutine. It's literally their famous clam chowder on top curds and fries. It was actually really good (I love clam chowder, so it was a great surprise!). The owners and team are amazing, fast and smooth when they hit a rush, and they answer every question we have. After driving by this place many times we finally decided to stop in on our way home to Victoria. The first great thing about Flynn's is that there are quite a few outdoor tables, which was perfect because we couldn't leave our dogs in the car. We sat at a picnic table so no problem with the pups.

They were quite busy when we arrived and our order took a little long to arrive but we enjoyed the sun. When it did come, we were really impressed. We got the 2-piece Cod meals. The fish was super fresh with a really nice batter coating. They were fairly decent sized pieces as well (We've definitely had smaller portions at other places where we won't return). Ordered fried halibut and baked halibut. Fell in love with the fried halibut was super tasty and amazing very light batter and had an amazing crispiness to it. Poutine was okay. Baked halibut was bland, coleslaw was good. Amazing to sit outside in the nature in tranquility and have your fish and chips in peace with your beer on a sunny day. Was disappointed with the paper ripping off at the bottom on the tray didn’t find that hygienic. Definitely will go back but will order in take out paper trays than the plastic tray and the paper tipping as we eat. Would be nice if the management looked into this matter. Not sure if they wash...
