I enjoy this gem of a spot with my family regularly. The owners are very kind. Quality home style baked goods, with simple but very tasty ingredients. No frozen food truck food here. It is easily accessible and has lots of parking. Rustic theme with well-made decor. Kid friendly. An altogether great location to visit regularly with inside and outside areas. I very much enjoy the extra care they put into service and presentation. Their fresh sourdough sells out super quick, and their pies are heavenly with flavor instead of just sugar.

Friendly and accommodating their customers. Had a cinnamon, sugar donut in the morning, that was lighter than air. œanted to buy a pumpkin pie, but they didn't have any. They said they would make me a pumpkin pie and to pick it up in the afternoon on my way back to Creston. Both the donut and pumpkin pie were amazing. Delicious. Definitely going back to try their lunch items. Mennonite girls definitely can cook. Thank you.

I don't want anyone to know about this place...but I can't gate keep this place. How do you manage to have the best cinnamon rolls AND donuts in the WORLD!?? My neighbours buy each other a donut if any of us go to Creston. I got my co-workers hooked too. Thank you for being a beautiful little friendly spot. Can't wait to see you thrive...goodness knows you deserve it. #glazeddonutisbest

Dec 2024 - Update I’ve been a loyal customer for years and have always enjoyed the excellent food and atmosphere. However, during our visit on August 28th at 11:30 am, I ordered the soup and sandwich combo, including the bacon potato soup. I ate the entire soup, but I noticed an unusual aftertaste. Unfortunately, later that day, I experienced significant discomfort, including an upset stomach and other serious symptoms.

We had not eaten anywhere else that day, so I believe it’s worth raising concerns about food safety practices. I’ve included a picture of the soup and sandwich for reference.

While I’ve valued this restaurant in the past, this experience has made me hesitant to return. I encourage the management to review their processes to ensure the best experience and safety for their customers.

Original Feedback Great local place to stop for coffee and some fresh baked good, we really like everything they sell. I recommend you take one of the loafs of fresh bread home, fantastic. They offer a variety of Espresso beverages as well. The women running this place are fantastic they do a great job and make you want to come back.

Nothing better than the smell of a fresh baked loaf of bread in your vehicle on the way home to smother it in butter and...

I took my family to The Mountain Barn for coffee. They were visiting from the Coast and when they walked into the building they were instantly impressed with the rustic dƩcor and the "yummy" smells wafting throughout the place. Several of us had the delicious Hot Cider while others opted for the fresh coffee. All of us munched on the fantastic donuts although they were pricey, many in our party exclaimed that they rivaled those of the "Crispy Cream" donuts. At least here you did not have to line up around the building to get one. The drive through was a big help. Would most definitely come back here...

Was expecting a huge selection of donuts and pastries. What I got was some over priced glazed donuts which I didn't really like, they also had cinnamon buns, but unfortunately no icing, just a glaze on top. No social distancing at all between the tables. Got my few donuts and got out. Nice inside and the girls at the counter were very nice, I just didn't like the donuts. I didn't try any of the lunch food, soup, sandwich, etc..... but like they say in the cooking world your only as good as your last meal. Can't see myself going back anytime soon. They also have a drive...
