Sea Monkey Coffee Co. — Restaurant in Area E (Elphinstone)

Absolutely adorable coffee and brunch place! Went for lunch one day while visiting the Sunshine coast then loved it so much I had to come back just for breakfast the next morning on my way out. I don't even eat breakfast but needed an excuse to stop by again!

Both the hot food and the coffee were delicious! I would recommend both wholeheartedly. It was my first time getting non-dairy in a cappuccino. It changed the flavour profile quite a bit, but not in a bad way. I appreciated that they gave me a full range of choices in milk-alternatives. I tried both the farmers breakfast wrap and the breakfast sandwich and they both tasted amazing. Unfortunately I did not try any of the baked treats but they looked very tempting :)

The person working the front both times I went (Devon, I hope I got the spelling right!) was an absolute ray of sunshine and made the whole experience that much more enjoyable!

The best part is it's attached and shares seating with Sunday Cider, so you can go all the way and fully treat yourself whilst you are there.

Every time I’m on the coast visiting my family they take me to Sea Monkey 🐵 for Brunch. Rain or shine, it’s a great way to finish off our weekend together and the service, scenery and FOOD is outstanding! I’m not even vegan/ plant based but when visiting my brother and my beautiful sister-in-love I honour their way of life and eat the way they do and I’m always happy to do so, especially when they introduce me to places like Sea Monkey! Pictured here is the Rainbow Bowl.( I ordered mine with chipotle aioli) Last visit I had A breakfast wrap! I have NEVER been disappointed with anything I’ve ordered! ( I’m just sorry I don’t have more photos !) The service is ALWAYS friendly! Just PLEASE be kind! They are busy! The food is made to order. Bring your patience and your kindness. Remember to always smile...

No end of good things to say about this magical little place in the woods! Located on the idyllic property at Sunday Cider, Sea Monkey offers delicious vegan food that honestly I would never know was vegan (I'm not a vegan or vegetarian). I meet friends here regularly and my go-to order is the tofu scramble breakfast wrap (so hearty and nourishing) and the Chocolate Hazelnut oat latte (rich and yummy, perfect sweetness). The apple cake and brownies are also so delicious. Bonus: Dani and her team are always smiling. I feel good about putting this food in my body, and I feel good about supporting this local, inclusive, woman-owned business!
