First time visitors to Naramata and Just Baked. Actually should clarify we attempted to be first time customers of Just Baked (Tuesday 10 September 2024 at around 10am) , however we were met with rudeness by the woman who was supposed to be making coffee but was actually outside the front of the building chatting to her friends. My husband went to go inside and this woman rudely said that her friend was waiting in line and that she was actually responsible for making coffee so if we wanted coffee we had to wait. It was clear as mud whether there was a line waiting because all we saw were her, her friend and a guy who already had a coffee in hand all three standing around no where near the door of the premises just chatting . Knowing we were waiting she then continued to chat to her friends . Another couple eventually came behind us and only then this woman decided to go in and actually start serving. It was a weird experience, didn’t like the vibe (my husband is white and I am a person of colour) and we left . Obviously it is a popular place with the locals and gets good reviews which is why we want to try the place but we aren’t desperate to spend our money at a place where the person working there was rude and just plain inconsiderate. By the way We actually didn’t just want a coffee (you assumed) we wanted to have something...

One of the things I truly appreciated was their one-customer-at-a-time policy inside the shop. It creates such a personal, unrushed experience where you can chat with the incredibly kind staff, ask for recommendations, and really enjoy the moment. The team there is so warm and welcoming—it honestly feels like visiting friends who also happen to make amazing coffee and desserts.
Speaking of desserts… wow. I had the tart and the oat bar, and both were absolutely divine—like something your grandma would serve you with love during a cozy afternoon visit. Fresh, homemade, and full of heart.
And if you get the chance, try the apple cider. It’s delicious on its own, but I actually ran it through my slushy machine—and let me tell you, it was brilliant. Perfect for a sunny day on the patio.
If you’re anywhere near Naramata, do yourself a favour and stop by Just Baked. It’s a small place with a big heart—and a highlight of any visit...
Read moreI am new to the Naramata area for work, and so far this little coffee shop has been one of my favourite highlights of the village! The prices are right on point, and I look forward to the friendly interaction staff provides every time. The place is very clean and organized, especially for a smaller space. The employee serving me was not wearing a mask, but they do have a massive glass shield between you and the employee, and they follow all of COVID protocol….and to be quite honest, I absolutely LOVED to see them wearing no mask. We are in the process of going back to normal people! Please get used to this. Masks aren’t forever, and we should be delighted to have our old life coming back sooner then expected ! When you walk in, the delightful smell of coffee and an assortment of possibly the best baked goods you’ve ever tasted will engulf you in full pleasure and comfort. This place is an absolute gem, and it would be a disservice to yourself...
