The Thornhill Pub — Restaurant in Area E (Thornhill)

Appalled at the service here. I just moved in and was hoping to have a nice neighborly pub to go eat at often. I had my wallet stolen, so my IDs are a birth cert. And a passport. Keep in mind it was 6:30 so any one can dine there. My boyfriend and his friend ordered two alcoholic drinks. I ordered nothing, we get I'd and I start to explain my situation, how I've got ID but my others are scanned on my phone (for situations like this) prepared to give my passport but just checking if scans would work, she rolls her eyes THROWS our IDs back at us says "well I'm not serving you with that attitude", scoops up our menus and leaves. Tried to ask the woman behind the bar. She told us "nope that's her job. You need to get out" Wouldn't even look at my ID at all. Meanwhile there's a family of 5 all eating there? Beauty facility, great service, had the Halibut Tacos which were excellent. Great flavour combos of mango and cranberries in a nicely seasoned salsa concoction. Fresh cut fries were good but xould have been a little crispier (more fry time) also had the in house made wonton soup which was good but the broth was darked and more in the beef broth category as far as I am concerned. The soup was good but a bit of a wonton soup hybrid. Came with prawns in it and like many restaurants they leave the damn tails on them....just a pet peeve of mine. This place is definitely a hidden gem in northern B.C . Settled in the mountains it's a cute lodge style pub. The food is phenomenal and definitely worth the drive. The staff are so friendly and the chefs in the kitchen have amazing talent. Prices are fair. I've stopped for a few meals here and I will continue. So far I've had the 7 sisters salad, Buffalo chicken dip, bison burger with fries, 8 oz Steak cooked to perfection with sautèd veggies prawns, mashed potatoes and gravy and garlic toast.
