The Cabin Restaurant and General Store — Restaurant in Area F (Chilako Valley/Dog Creek)

Sadly, it's the same menu, nothing vegan and literal shaming if you order vegetarian pizza and ask for no cheese on half. I was told by staff, before, not to do this again. So I didn't. It was allowed only one time, the server said. Litteral shaming. I thought it was weird. They also served a dish that was explicitly "no eggs" because of a potentially fatal allergy, and they put mayo on it. It was not listed on the menu, no mayo, and the server was asked to be sure there was no eggs in the dish. Then served with mayo. Luckily my daughter caught it in time and my grand daughter was safe. However, the next time we went, with out the grand daughter due to her allergy and the lack of comprehension, I ordered fries. Only fries. They tasted like fish. And they were burnt. And expensive. Our family spent over $250 again. To be disappointed again. I made tofu when we got home and I vowed to never return. For a second time. This restaurant is very nice compared to any of the restaurants in town. It also has the best view as it overlooks the river. The service here is always very good. They have a nice selection of food as well. At our table, we ordered the mussels, the pesto pasta, and the fish and chips. They were nice enough to substitute the pesto for a cream sauce instead and when they had made a mistake on the order and forgot to add the artichoke and olives, they apologized and had offered to make a new plate. What a beautiful place and location. Clean. Food was excellent. Burger Patty was clearly homemade and so flavourful and cooked perfectly. My bacon was nice and crispy. At first glance I thought portions were small but I was SO full after my plate and no food was wasted, so portion size was perfect. Pizza was amazing. Appies were amazing. Desert was also great. My hubby loved his loaded Caesar. The Shirley temple was delicious. We went all out and tried alot of things we all enjoyed. My sis in law liked her stuffed chicken.
