After so many years of knowing this place existed I finally pressed my partner to make the detour out here so we could try it ourselves. Yes, it is a 2 hour total detour down the main highway and than up another highway to get back on track… but officially, if you try to keep a schedule, with the time difference from AB to BC, you really only lose an hour. My only regret is not doing this sooner!
The pizzas were cheesy and delicious with many components of their pizzas being sourced locally from the onsite garden and the nearby mountain spring.
The set up was cozy and inviting with decor that gives a nod to the bygone era of pizzas from the past. That said, after making the short detour one time, we all agree it is completely worth it. Especially now that we know how much the local area itself has to offer, as well as proximity to good deep dish pizza for future trips.
Our family of five ordered 3 and we had almost a whole pizza to take with us for the rest of the drive.

Beautifully set in the outdoors with a bunch of picnic table, this place is truly unique. The owner formally ran a very popular establishment in Calgary, and has brought his pizza expertise to the valley.
He now specializes in Detroit style (sauce on top) pizza, and everything about it is a flavor fiesta. If you're there at the right time in May/June, he brings in fresh Morel mushrooms for his mushroom pizza - something I've yet to experience anywhere else.
Each pizza goes for $25 (a couple of exceptions)(CASH only), and is well worth it. We order a half cheese and half Vegetarian pizza and it feeds three of us with leftovers!
