After so many years of knowing this place existed I finally pressed my partner to make the detour out here so we could try it ourselves. Yes, it is a 2 hour total detour down the main highway and than up another highway to get back on track… but officially, if you try to keep a schedule, with the time difference from AB to BC, you really only lose an hour. My only regret is not doing this sooner!

The pizzas were cheesy and delicious with many components of their pizzas being sourced locally from the onsite garden and the nearby mountain spring.

The set up was cozy and inviting with decor that gives a nod to the bygone era of pizzas from the past. That said, after making the short detour one time, we all agree it is completely worth it. Especially now that we know how much the local area itself has to offer, as well as proximity to good deep dish pizza for future trips.

Our family of five ordered 3 and we had almost a whole pizza to take with us for the rest of the drive.

10/10...

Don't miss this hidden gem. I think everyone in Windermere knows about it, but if you're driving Highway 93 between Invermere and Fairmont, you might blow past this and you'll miss out on a great meal!

Beautifully set in the outdoors with a bunch of picnic table, this place is truly unique. The owner formally ran a very popular establishment in Calgary, and has brought his pizza expertise to the valley.

He now specializes in Detroit style (sauce on top) pizza, and everything about it is a flavor fiesta. If you're there at the right time in May/June, he brings in fresh Morel mushrooms for his mushroom pizza - something I've yet to experience anywhere else.

Each pizza goes for $25 (a couple of exceptions)(CASH only), and is well worth it. We order a half cheese and half Vegetarian pizza and it feeds three of us with leftovers!

Anytime I hear about someone heading out to the valley, I encourage them to stop, and those that do always thank me for the...

A Hidden Gem on the Way to the Hot Springs! After a three-hour drive from Calgary to the hot springs, I was thrilled to discover this delightful pizza spot that came highly recommended. The pizza we had was truly outstanding—crafted with fresh ingredients, including spring water and homemade pizza sauce and dough. The atmosphere was incredibly welcoming, featuring a unique outdoor eating area that added to the charm of the dining experience. It felt perfect for a relaxing meal after a long drive. As I savored each bite, I couldn't shake the bittersweet feeling knowing it might be a while before I have the opportunity to return to this amazing pizza gem. If you're traveling through this area, do yourself a favor and stop by—you won't regret it!

Cash only. The pizza is really good! We got the Hawaiian. It was an nice deep style pizza plenty of ham and even more pineapple. The cheese was gooey and the sauce had just the right amount of spice. The crispy cheese edge wraps it all up nicely. We order one for two adults and a kid. We still had about a 1/4 left over. Very filling. Fabulous deck but we couldn’t enjoy it as it was way too sunny and hot to sit in the sun…and as we were walking to a shaded table and a rude older lady ran to take it from us first and pretended we didn’t exist. Not the establishments fault. Just meant we couldn’t enjoy the atmosphere.
