The Shack - Ice Cream and Fish & Burgers Etc — Restaurant in Area F (Dease Lake)

We rolled in from Destruction Bay, off the ALCAN to Dease Lake. We had to stop for the night and went to 'The Shack'.

We got the WORST Cheeseburger and fries in our 60+ years EVER!!!! BURNT beyond anything we have ever experienced. Dude does not know how to cook!!!! They charged a family of 7+ young kids (locals) over 60 plus dollars for single scoop ice cream cones!!!!!!!!!!! And they go every week because it's the only place there! GIVE THEM A DISCOUNT RIP-OFFS!!!!!!!!!!! We LOVED our trip from NC to Alaska and home. If we could erase the memory of this meal. BRING OWN FOOD to Dease lake or go to the grocery...

In our camper adventure from Mexico to Alaska, we had been driving for 8 hours without food or snacks, or even internet signal… We were super hungry and in the middle of nowhere, as a mirage, it was The Shack.
