Arrowsmith Golf — Restaurant in Area H (Lighthouse Country)

I used to brag about this golf course being the best, bar none!! In the last 2 years I feel it has deteriorated substantially, the grounds keeping is not what it once was....they have traded in green for brown. Mickey J's was a great success also and I never had a bad meal, lately its hit and miss. Sitting on the patio to have a beer etc after our 3pm game produces a clear visual of an empty course so I have to assume that business is down drastically. The answer from the manager seems to be typical of a failing business these days - in order to improve cash flow they raised the rates. I think they should have lowered the rates, introduced a free kids golf program when accompanied by an adult simply because todays kids are tomorrows golfers and they need to be encouraged to play. The $42.00 for 18 is high but to do nine for $32.00 is an obvious gouging of the majority who only do nine holes. With these prices and course policy plus the drive to get there I will be looking elsewhere.

Congratulations on instituting the kids program, I sincerely hope it gets the next generation to take up the game....and they will remember that it was Arrowsmith Golf Club that got them going. My initial comment on the course was probably a bit harsh because I still think it is a gem - great layout and one that I still feel a challenge in many respects. Hole 18 is still pure magic for me, I love that hole (especially when the fountain is on) . Quite possibly the best finishing hole in the area. However, I still have a problem with the nine hole rate being the same as the bigger courses in the area. I have had to switch to twilight in order to stay within my budget - unfortunately we miss out on "Happy Hour" though. I still think a lower rate schedule is a better way to promote more...

This place is a hidden gem! My best friend and I went here for dinner and instantly loved the vibe as soon as we saw their strict policy with not leaving dogs in your car! The views from the patio were gorgeous, the menus had great options, and the staff and service was more than exceptional. I had an unexpected medical incident during dinner and can’t express enough how gracious, kind and caring the entire team was. They truly made what was a not fun and actually quite scary experience into an incredible one because of the way they handled it and treated me. We had an excellent relaxing meal in their gorgeous patio. Service was 'relaxed' as well (understaffed) but we weren't in a rush and just enjoyed the day. Helpful tip: there is a water cooler that you can refill your own water with.

The Curry was fabulous - perfect amount of spice for me (I like it on the warm/hot side, but not too spicy so that it burns your mouth), with a nice portion size, and great flavour.

My son's cod fish N chips was tasty and he liked the 'real fries' (with potato skin) - though even the 2 fillets were on the small side for his appetite.

The chairs were also very relaxing, and we enjoyed some fabulous...
