Dida’s — Restaurant in Armstrong Township

My Celiac heaven! I moved from Toronto to Haileybury in 2020 and I'm so grateful for Dida's. We are happy to make the drive to access safe, delicious food. I always feel so cared for and have never once gotten sick. Yesterday we were seated at the bar and watched the kitchen prepare our food through the plexiglass. I felt so safe seeing their cross-contact protocols in action! Separate cooking areas for gluten-free food, clean utensils, gloves, etc. I know these steps are a lot of extra work, so I want to share that they are seen and appreciated.

I highly recommend this place to anyone who has Celiac Disease or gluten sensitivity. They get it, will take amazing care of you, the food is amazing and your non-GF friends and family will love it...

We have been going to Dida’s for years and have a stellar experience every time! Still incredible to think that such an amazing place is in such a small town. The food is fresh and delicious. Everything on the menu that I’ve tried is so tasty! It is fantastic that there are so many gluten free options available (way more than you’d usually see!). The in-store baked desserts are reason alone to visit. Not to mention the friendly service and that it is kid friendly too. I was visiting my birth daughter in the area recently, and we went to Dida's twice for lunch. My daughter had raved about this restaurant so I had to try it out. Other reviewers say it surpassed their expectations by far, and that's absolutely how I feel too. The owner is passionate, meticulous and incredibly nice. We are gluten and dairy intolerant, and the items we wanted were available to suit our needs. Everything was great - and the soups were heavenly!!
