I recently visited The Outdoorsman Restaurant in Atikokan, Ontario and had a mixed experience. I ordered a burger and poutine, and while the burger was delicious and cooked to perfection, the poutine lacked flavour in the gravy. Additionally, the onion rings I ordered on the side were cold upon arrival. Despite the issues with the poutine and onion rings, I was impressed with the prompt delivery of the food. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout my visit, making for an enjoyable dining experience overall. Overall, The Outdoorsman Restaurant has some great menu options, including the burger I tried, but there is room for improvement with some of the other dishes. If you're in the area and looking for a quick meal, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit.

THE best hot turkey I have ever had, and I've had many. Lots of times certain ingredients are cold and/or lack bold flavour, because it's a leftovers dish. This one was so on point, Turkey was perfect and the gravy brought the bold flavour coming in hot. Also, legit cooked carrots with a little bit of butter on side and the fries/garden salad were what you want with this dish. Excellent work.

Nice food. The best thing to order in the place is the pizza. 10/10 best pizza in town. Breakfast is excellent as well. The Outdoorsman is the most reliable food service in town. With regular reliability for business hours. Amazing, hardworking people running this place. Debbie is a sweetheart heart and Steve is still the comedic, strong man he always was. Really suggest stopping in there. And, getting a bit to eat. Burgers are always juicy and well made. 8.5/10 And, the most affordable in town. The Clubhouse is one of my favorite go toos for a tasty sandwich. 8/10. They are pretty high ratings for a guy like me. I really enjoyed this restaurant for a lot of years. It is by far my favorite little spot in Atikokan for a quick bite to enjoy some time down town. And, they are usually open 7 days a week. Unless they took off for a well-deserved vacation. Am going to miss the friendly faces and services of the establishment when I depart Atikokan. I still think the Delux Poutine is one of the best budget value meals in the community and am going to miss not having it. 10/10 As well as the Atmosphere of the local lunkers being hung a long the wall and some of them have placard for those who caught them. If you are a Outdoorsman stop in grab a bit and catch a look at...

A must try if your visiting Atikokan. Ambiance of the north included! Impressive locally caught fish adorn the gorgeous wood walls, mostly booth seating/table & chairs available also. The owners are long time Atikokanites who raised thier Children on site. If your lucky enough to catch a tale or 2 from Steve or Deb=do NOT pass it up! 2 Private rooms available for dining/bi!rthday parties: one is very small and in the front with view if main street= fits 8 people across 2 4ppl tables (max) good for intimate engagements- special occasions when you want to keep focus on the group. the other private room is bigger: 2 full length tables - Fits 20 people approx. (I ASSUME) *or dine in the main restaurant: around a dozen tables/booths. One 2 person table and one that fits approx 10people- the rest fit 4 (or 5) people. Wide variety of food options on thier full menu. Breakfast lunch supper cinnamon buns takeout & delivery. This is the only restaurant left in town that has been owned/operated by the same people during its existence. Great food- Pizza's are incredible! Always fresh homemade dough & quality abundant toppings. Great for kids, families & tourists of all types. (Enjoy their...

We ordered an extra large pizza (it cost over $50 and was honestly terrible), which took about 35 minutes in an almost empty restaurant, not a deal breaker, however, while waiting we couldn't help but hear the several loud arguments going on in the kitchen between what I assume are the husband and wife operators. Quite awkward, and when paired with the general cigarette aroma in the place as patrons seem to light up directly outside the entrance and walk back in as they're exhaling their last puff, and the loud fishing show playing on TV that was just the main presenter groaning loudly for no real reason on repeat as he failed to catch anything the atmosphere wasn't exactly top notch. Service isn't going to get above two stars when the "cook" aggressively barks that your pizza is ready at you, and then you stand at the register for several minutes being ignored. It was the only place open in town when we were there so we had literally no other choice, if you do, go somewhere else, just buy some noodles from the servo as that is legitimately a better option and I'm not exaggerating or...
