Johnny's Restaurant — Restaurant in Aylmer

I dined for 2 tonight, and the both of us were well pleased.

Courteous, friendly staff accommodated our mask exemptions with smiles, and we were seated, and served promptly.

In our dining room the decor did lack, but this is my only critique.

We each had one of two dinner specials: Pickerel, and Beef Milanese.

The fish had a thin crispy breading. The Milanese, was also crispy and very flavorful, with the additional (and recommended), mushroom gravy. They were both accompanied by a bean & corn vegetable medley, and mashed potatoes, which were hot, and delicious with an ample portion of beef gravy for each. Each meal also was preceded by an option of soup or salad, both of which satisfied, especially the soup. The meals were delicious, and had hot, fresh, and hearty proportions, that left the two of us pleased. The prices were fair, and present a strong value for the experience.

I have recently discovered this gem of a diner. Very clean, friendly and fast. The women who presents like the manager/owner really knows how to run a proper spot. I worked in the industry for a long time and really appreciate the quality of service and environment I have experienced in a place I didn't expect this from. I started off just ordering take-out for my mom. Take-out has always been quick and tasty with no complications. When they offer you a dessert... They are made in house and we'll worth it. The apricot thumb print cookies are honestly the best cookies I have eaten in a while! The covid plexi dividers are well installed and seem like they have always been apart of the design without making you feel like you are behind a dirty shower curtain. I couldn't help noticing how aware and on point the staff were during our dine in experience. Kudos to the women in charge! I will continue to...

The dynamic duo, sister waitress team is absolutely killing it! Diner-Dash expert level waitressing!! I came with family during the dinner rush time and they accommodated 4 adults and 2 young kids beautifully. While juggling a lot of other guests and take out orders. Very poised and organized despite the two of them having to handle a barrage of requests from many tables, take out orders, and more diners coming in.

The food was freshly made, very delicious and generous portions for very fair prices.

We were just in town visiting Clovermead Farms and very happy we decided to come for here dinner.

It's obvious this is a local hotspot with many regulars. Good food, fair prices, AMAZING service. An example of how business should be done.

The chef did make some errors (very minor side dish mix up) but these were resolved quickly and apologetically...
