Fish and Ships — Restaurant in Ballantynes Cove

What an excellent little find, the name is awesome! We were on our way to the Cape George Lighthouse and happened to see a sign for Fish and Ships on a light post while were driving. Great endorsement right?

We were hungry though and it was less than a mile off so we stopped in to grab some food. It is a tiny little establishment that is right in the Ballantyne Cove, so you have to go down into the cove itself to find it. There's plenty of parking around so just grab a spot anywhere.

The menu is not gigantic, but the staff was super kind and the food we ordered was very tasty. We got a platter which had a smattering of everything, but all of it was good. My personal highlight, as dumb as it sounds, was the golden crispy french fries. They were amazing!

Either way, what a fun little place. I'd highly recommend a stop here for some tasty...

Tucked down in Ballantyne cove in Antigonish County this little spot a perfect place to eat. Whether your out hiking the Cape George trail hitting up one of the beaches near by or out for a drive. Fish and Ships has the Maritime classics like cowder seafood platers! Also they have Burgers and other favorites like chicken fingers. Don't pass up a chance to have icecream...

Ordered haddock fish and chips, clam strips and chips and chicken wings. Food was good. Wasn't a fan of the hot sauce that came with the wings though. Staff is helpful especially if you are new to the area. Quick service order just took about 10 mins. Primary payment method is cash, no tap nor contactless, however, might accept e-transfer if cell service permits....
