Perfect small town cafe

On our way through Bear River, my husband and I stopped here for lunch, and we are so glad we did! This is the perfect small town cafe. Simple, fresh, welcoming. These ladies know what they're doing! Excellent service, lots of laughs too. The food was just amazing. Best chicken sandwich I've ever had. The bun was fresh and lightly toasted, chicken portion was generous and cooked to juicy perfection with just the right amount of crispy batter, the lettuce was fresh, and the mayo amount was just right. It didn't need any fancy flavors because this is just how you do a chicken sandwich. Mic drop. The picture was taken from the small end of the sandwich so it doesn't do the size justice. The side of chicken rice soup was great. Good size, lots of chicken, very tasty. My husband got their version of the Big Mac (feature for Burger Wars) and he gave it top marks. One of the best burgers he's ever had. He enjoyed the seasoned fries too. Sorry I didn't get a picture of his meal. The cheesecake disappeared too fast for me to get a picture. Homemade, generous portion, very tasty. I didn't find the strawberry sauce really added anything - it didn't need it as it stood on its own. We each had a drink. I highly recommend the blueberry lemonade with its perfectly balanced flavor and tart-sweet profile. My husband enjoyed his iced coffee with hazelnut flavor. The ambiance is simple, rustic, and cozy. The bathroom was chilly and a paper towel dispenser would be helpful rather than just the roll sitting there. But I can't take points for that. It was a great experience and we can't wait to come back! Great value...

It was our first time here,we were greated by the owner, we had a reservation we were early but there was still room for us. We ordered tea so it was nice it came in a pot,she even asked if we wanted a mug or cops. We have been looking for a good burger and boy oh boy did we have choices, we both got frys I had the sweet potato fries my husband had the regular fries. It was percented beautifully, tomato Leduc pickle the bun was a good size to hold it all in,the frys were awesome very good. After a few bites it was very enjoyable, we took our dessert home, that was carret cake it was homemade it was delicious. It was a warm day and the aircondishner was on so we were comfortable. Unless you are a local, 10/10 do NOT recommend. Wait time for our drinks/utensils alone was absurd. Local walks in 30 minutes after we got there and received his food before we even got our drinks and utensils. He was finished and gone before we ever saw our food. Staff was rude and unfriendly, literally laughed at us when asked if one ingredient could be excluded. Once we received our food, waitress checked in with us once but didn’t bother to wait for a response before she ran off to the tables outside.
