One Fish Bistro — Restaurant in Beaubassin East

We showed up a little late on an off season night and they were already cleaning up and told us they were no longer serving but as we turned to leave I guess the disappointment showed on our faces and they told us to come back in and they would serve us. We then had one of the most fabulous meals of our entire vacation. From the homemade cocktails to the absolutely delicious appetizers and entrees, the entire experience was delightful. Went in for lunch, wanted a bowl of the smoked seafood chowder and got a bowl of piping hot Smokey broken soup. The chowder was broken and arrived with a thick puddle of butter on the surface, as did my mother’s. My wife received a luke warm bowl Of French onion soup. Flavours for both were good (hence the 2 stars) but poor execution. Unfortunate, the menu looks interesting but won’t likely be back if something as simple as the signature chowder is served like that. Went to check out One Fish with friends the other day and I was so impressed with the service and the food. We went for lunch and I ordered the seafood canelloni. It came with a side of rice and a small salad. Oh my it was so delicious that I will definitely go back and order that item again.
