Tucker Lake Pizza — Restaurant in Beaver Bank

Ever since I’ve moved here these guys have been my fall back go to for takeout. They are friendly always and hustle your food but don’t over rush. I’ll start with the bad. The garlic fingers. If they copied Tasty Pizza’s (best I ever had) or even beaver bank they’d have something here. I just find the garlic lacking and cheese is sparse. The good. Pizza is decent. Crust has some fluff, a light crunch to the bread. Sauce is flavourful but not overtaking. Toppings are plentiful. Depending on the toppings you get and your style they are nice or seem bagged. Donair plates are tasty and filling. Donairs are tasty, have a nice heft and sauce is on point. Their burgers are good! I’d normally never get a burger from a pizza store but when I moved in I was getting sick of pizza. So I tried them and they are truly a hidden gem at this location. We have had a really hard time finding a good pizza place since moving here. We passed Tucker Lake by accident over the weekend, and glad we did! We tried our first pizza yesterday - pineapple, ground beef, green pepper and mushrooms (it's good, I promise). First of all, we love the sauce. It's a good balance of flavour. The quality of the ground beef was really good too, which isn't always the case. Toppings were fresh! I love that you can hold a piece of it and it holds it's own - nothing worse than droopy pizza! I typically like my crust a bit thicker but my husband absolutely loved it and that's good enough for me. Will definitely be trying other items...

Called hours ahead for a delivery order and told them a preferred time but that we were flexible. They were super respectful over the phone. I called back to add an item and the guy had been just about to call me back to clarify something as well. Delivery arrived exactly on the requested time, hot and delicious. Had added a Caesar salad to the pizza order that was a hit with our kiddo and guests. Tangy with chunky (real?) bacon bits: a great side for pizza.
