I honestly didn’t expect to walk into the perfect pub — but Ashton Pub Brewery completely blew me away. It’s everything you want in a true, authentic pub experience without any of the grit or grime that sometimes comes with the word “pub.”
From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is spot-on. Thick oak tables, classic pub chairs with armrests and little upholstered details, shelves of beautiful bottles — not dusty or cluttered, just beautifully curated. The whole space has character without being messy. It’s warm and cozy on one side, and bright and open on the other. Their back patio area is absolutely stunning — enclosed with garage doors that open on summer days, giving you a breathtaking view of a little body of water surrounded by trees and wildflowers. You feel like you’re tucked away in the countryside, even though you’re still in a bustling spot.
Now let’s talk food and drink. Their beer is legit. This is no “pretend” brewery with a couple of tanks to say they make beer — they have a full setup with massive, spotless vats that are clearly in operation. The French onion soup? Incredible. Rich, flavorful broth, melty cheese with spices, and none of that overdone crouton filler. The fish and chips were golden, crisp, and fresh — and you can actually taste that the oil is clean and the fries are made properly.
And the staff? Friendly, upbeat, and welcoming. There’s no tired, smoky pub vibe here. It’s wholesome and relaxed without being pretentious — just good people serving great food and drinks in a well-loved, well-run space.
Ashton Pub Brewery is what every pub wishes it could be. Clean, classic, full of charm — and the perfect place to spend a sunny afternoon or a cozy evening. Can’t...
Read moreThe food was good, but the service was a different story....waited forever to get drinks ordered...waited a very very long time for the drinks and then the food, and then waited so long for our bill we wondered if the server was coming back to our table. The place was very busy that night, and they appeared to be understaffed, but I would have thought that the hostess would jump in and help them out, but all she did was seat the customers...a full restaurant at dinner time with two servers....I will probably be back, but there is no doubt that this place is very very hit and miss on the service....you never know what your going to get! Edit to reply to management: We did mention how slow the service was, and we were told (with no apology) that we are busy. The server who took care of our table has been there for years! We have had her in the past. Nice to know they are hiring, but slow service at this establishment has never been unusual. It's what we had expected, but our last visit there...was really next-level slow...we never anticipated that our dinner would take 2.5 hours, most of it spent waiting...waiting to be acknowledged, waititng for drinks, just waiting. Twice we had to get up and look for our server to get the final bill. Thank you...
Read morePopped in for lunch while my wife picked up her regular supply of their pumpkin beer. Lunch was great. Top service for sure. Waitress was training a new employee but still fast and friendly.
Ordered their Mediterranean flat bread. All I can say is fantastic. Soft sweet bread topped with so much, I want more. 10/10
My companion ordered a True North Grilled Salmon salad. Greens, veggies, walnuts, and blueberries. Although it should have been a sesame maple dressing, you’d be hard pressed to find any form of maple In it. Not much flavour. We did ask that the salmon be very VERY lightly cooked, barely seared. What we got was a dry overcooked piece of salmon. Overall she enjoyed it but it wasn’t something we’d rush out to get again.
I myself ordered a Caesar salad, with chicken breast. Although the salad was good, the chicken needed work. Some seasoning, bbq sauce, even just salt and pepper or something.
But with restaurants still struggling to get full staff etc, I won’t penalize too much. The beer itself is always worth a visit, down home charm and class A service, lots of parking, this is worth a...
