Lobster Mac and cheese was amazing, and the Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo was ok. We were very impressed with the waitress we had on Tuesday night, however, very perturbed by the waitress on Wed evening of this past week. Both my friend and I ordered the Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo, however, mine was regular, hers was gluten free. My friend also informed the waitress to ensure that IT MUST be gluten free, as she has medical issues.
When the waitress brought our meal out, I told her I was regular and my friend was gluten free. She informed me that they put gluten garlic toast on mine. I told her that I don't eat gluten free and want the regular garlic bread. She did not come back to replace the garlic bread. When I looked down at my meal, I then noticed after she left our table that she served me penne when I ordered fettuccine. So we got the attention of another server to ask if she could send our waitress over. When our waitress came to our table, I told her that my order was wrong. She said ohhh, she gave me the gluten free and my friend the regular. So she took my plate and took my friend's plate and swapped them. As she had started to place my friend's plate, which she had eaten from and expected me to eat it, I said to the waitress, I'm not eating that after my friend has eaten from it. The waitress had the audacity to say to me, "So you want a fresh plate?". My response was YES.
She should never have swapped plates, as she had no idea of where or not I had eaten from it. THAT'S is and was DISGUSTING!
After the waitress left, I said to my friend, she screwed up your order too, as her plate had now has penne, not fettuccine. Finally after about 10-15 minutes of watching my friend eat, my meal arrived. My friend asked the waitress to see the gluten free menu again and said to the waitress, I ordered the Chicken FETTUCCINE Alfredo and I got PENNE. The waitress said that the kitchen substituted the fettuccine for penne so we know the difference when serving between gluten free and regular. That didn't help this waitress out one bit, because she still made the error and served the wrong meals to us.
The waitress had shown no remorse, concern or an apology for serving her the wrong meal. She did not care enough to ask my friend, will you be alright from eating that bit of regular pasta?
I ASKED my friend will she be ok after eating my regular pasta. She said she only had two or three bites, that it should only have a minor effect on her bowel system. If she would have eaten the whole plate, it would have been a totally different story.
This waitress could have caused serious harm to my friend. Did she care, ABSOLUTELY NOT!
If the pasta for gluten free needs to be truly identified by another type, then:
Waiters/Waitresses should be informing customers upon ordering the gluten free meal that it's penne not fettuccine, and
If this is true, THEN the menu needs to be amended so gluten free people know exactly what they are ordering. Pasta is not all the same and texture can be a deciding factor.
Tuesday's waitress was awesome, the Wednesday waitress was horrific.
I will return to your establishment, as I did really enjoy the lobster Mac and cheese, but I will not have that waitress serve me or anyone in my party. It's appalling how she treated us and if the shoe was reversed, I am sure she'd be appalled as well. I have had some bad service, but she took the cake. One day, she will cause serious harm to someone and unfortunately, your establishment will be the ones getting sued!

Read moreWe came here for lunch recently. I have a gluten allergy so was excited when the server offered me a gluten free menu. The GF menu even had a few items that were cheaper than they were on the regular menu (that never happens). I was very excited to see some items on the GF menu that I have a hard time finding while eating out. I was so excited to order the potato skins, the server came back and advised the ingredients are GF however they are cooked in a fryer that is shared with gluten items (therefore not GF due to cross contamination), there was a warning written on the GF menu referencing the fries were in a shared fryer but nothing else showed this disclaimer. So then I try to order the bacon wrapped scallops, I was advised they also are at the same risk of cross contamination, I ended up having just plain scallops pan fried in butter, they were a decent size however a little under cooked and would have been much better if they had done garlic with it as well. I left disappointed after all of the excitement over seeing the GF menu options initially and then ending up with plain scallops in butter. It's wonderful that they are trying to offer an alternative and I am thankful she did come back to get me to change my order so I didn't get sick however if you are going to offer a GF menu but then have items that are not actually viable GF options then it's not really a GF menu. The staff was friendly though and the service was fast. My husband did not have any complaints about his...
Read moreWe drove across Nova Scotia to try this restaurant, and it was worth it! First, the service was second to none. Angela was friendly, helpful, and quick! Wow. We were expecting the food to take a while, but the staff was working extremely well together, making for a perfect evening. We didn't wait long for anything. Now the food. We had the bacon wrapped scallops and the coconut shrimp appetizers. Prepared perfectly. Delicious. For entrees, the digby scallop dinner, seafood lasagna, and the fish fricassee in lobster sauce. All were amazingly good. Dessert included coconut cream pie and peanut butter oreo cheesecake. Both were generously portioned and delicious. The cheesecake, in particular, was a highlight. This restaurant is a must if you are dining in...
