On a little prairie adventure, we had looked up places to eat and a few came up in Blaine Lake. I eat gluten free so checked out an ap I have for that, and Betty’s came up. Three of us stopped for lunch and what appears as a bit grungy highway gas station, has quite a funky road side diner within. When you walk through to the diner you go back in time to a fun display of license plates, Hollywood movie posters - an old truck divides the dining room from kitchen cleverly. Gas station memorabilia is present. The menu has lots of options including some gluten free buns, burgers and bread. It is not celiac friendly but gluten sensitive friendly. I had the “deadly burger” without the egg in a gf bun. It came with fries that had a coating and there is no dedicated fryer. I could hardly get my mouth around it but it was excellent. My hubby had Baba’s plate which featured cabbage rolls, sausage, pirogies and delicious fried onions. He said it was great. My cousin had fish and chips and a side salad - also very good food. My hubby had the Beef Eh and said it was excellent. We will definetely be back to try more.service and staff were top notch. Super friendly and efficient.

Read moreThis is my 2nd day here from Calgary Alberta. It was recommended to try this out. Both meals I've had here have been outstanding. The staff are very nice. It's very nice place for a meal. Very large servings for the price. I will be here for a few more days visiting a friend. So I can't wait for my next visit at Betty's Diner. They also make fresh sandwiches up front at gas bar.
