On a little prairie adventure, we had looked up places to eat and a few came up in Blaine Lake. I eat gluten free so checked out an ap I have for that, and Betty’s came up. Three of us stopped for lunch and what appears as a bit grungy highway gas station, has quite a funky road side diner within. When you walk through to the diner you go back in time to a fun display of license plates, Hollywood movie posters - an old truck divides the dining room from kitchen cleverly. Gas station memorabilia is present. The menu has lots of options including some gluten free buns, burgers and bread. It is not celiac friendly but gluten sensitive friendly. I had the “deadly burger” without the egg in a gf bun. It came with fries that had a coating and there is no dedicated fryer. I could hardly get my mouth around it but it was excellent. My hubby had Baba’s plate which featured cabbage rolls, sausage, pirogies and delicious fried onions. He said it was great. My cousin had fish and chips and a side salad - also very good food. Our handsome young-server was friendly, accommodating and very busy as the only server on the floor which was quite busy. The bathroom was tidy and fine. I would recommend and say it is a great...

Was here for my first time tonight. I can’t believe we hadn’t been here yet. Empanadas were very good and so fresh tasting (had the chicken empanada and pizza nada) . My hubby had the Beef Eh and said it was excellent. We will definetely be back to try more.service and staff were top notch. Super friendly and efficient.

I have family who are celiac so I asked about options and they have lots of options that are gluten free (burgers and most sandwiches can be made gluten free as well as a many other items as well as a pasta dish). So...

This is my 2nd day here from Calgary Alberta. It was recommended to try this out. Both meals I've had here have been outstanding. The staff are very nice. It's very nice place for a meal. Very large servings for the price. I will be here for a few more days visiting a friend. So I can't wait for my next visit at Betty's Diner. They also make fresh sandwiches up front at gas bar. If you can't stay I definitely recommend getting a sandwich. Thank you very much all of you for treating me...
