The inside is nice and the bar is nice. I ordered the 2 donair and fries special. Before the new owners took over the donairs tasted so good and fresh. Now the wrap is stale and the meat is terrible and dry, their fries are the only good thing. but ya standards have dropped lower and prices have gone higher. I used to pay $20 and change for the donair special and now I paid $30 and change. Sorry but this is my honest review as I used to buy food there a lot. Now I just can’t do it anymore. Id rather eat at the Gas station.
Edit: Here is my second review after someone mentioned on 10 October 2024 that there has been a good change in quality to the restaurant. I wanted to order 2 poutines, thats it. They came to $27 and change for two poutines??? Well after about 3 minutes of contemplation i decided to call back and cancel. I cannot fathom paying that amount for fries, gravy and cheese AND its not even real cheese curds!!! Its mozzarella?
Joes 5/5 review is a joke. Wtf is wrong with you people and your...
Read moreI grew up in Boonie Accord, and this place was always a fixture. Granted, I remember it being dingier, with a menu tuned to the discerning palates of lifelong chain smokers. But, things change.
It's definitely cleaned up since then, to the point where it's actually become a pretty nice small town pub. Food is definitely significantly better than I remember, especially when it comes to their burgers, and I just had some truly great onion rings there last time I was out.
The only thing that I think that's holding it back is the beer selection. It's the kind of place where the taps run Bud, Rickard's Red, Kokanee and Molson's Canadian, and where the premium offerings extend to Corona and Keith's. Now, this is okay, but it'd be nice if they actually had one from around here, given that Alberta has good breweries all over the...
Read morewhy have i only heard and tried this place until now? ive lived in the area a few years now and thought my only option for pizza n wings was Sal's in Gibbons. both make great hot wings. but the pizza award goes to Chelsea's by a landslide. best pizza ive had in a long time. I havent tried anything else yet, lasagna will be my next order. if you live in the vicinity, or visiting somewhere in the vicinity and want a great pizza, Chelsea's Pub is by far the place to go. cheesey, toppings are abundant and thick. crust is good, right amount of sauce. the pizza isnt undercooked or overcooked so the top color is this gorgeous brown and...
