Café Acadien Bonaventure Inc. — Restaurant in Bonaventure

Amazing ambience and delicious food. The weather was perfect when we arrived and the sunset was colouring the room. Make sure you book in advance as it gets busy, especially after 5pm. Our waitress seated us quickly, but I did not appreciate how she welcomed us. When we first stepped in the restaurant, she assumed right away that we did not have a reservation and barked a remark "eh boy, dont know if I can sit these two" before even asking us if we have reserved (which we obviously did). We were a couple in our early 30s. So maybe because we looked like young travelers, she thought we were out of place. Anyhow, my hats goes off to the chef for delivering amazingly good food. The waitress/host needs to work on her...

While visiting the Gaspésie area and it's breathtaking point if views, one has no choice but to take the plunge in the local culture. Café Acadien offers exactly that. From it's charming setting, to it's authentically local ingredients; Café Acadien offers deliciously fresh and flavourful plates. Their dish presentations are exquisitely crafted, bursting with vibrant colors. A culinary experience worth the time and the price. The staff are courteous and were kind enough to accommodate our kids...

The food was excellent! But...

It is indeed the end of the season. The restaurant only opens from 5pm to 9pm. Got a reservation for 7:30pm ... and got our food at 9pm ! The food was DELICIOUS ! But was it worth the wait ? (...) The chef did come see us after the plates were served and apologized. We appreciated that. Definitely need to stop by this restaurant...
