The nachos were awesome! I was surprised by the portion of nachos the restaurant provided and the amount and variety of toppings including cheese. By far one of the best nachos I've had on the island and I've eaten a lot of nachos and been to every community in Newfoundland. These incredible nachos came generously topped with seasoned ground beef (which I picked off because I don't eat beef but I was sharing with company), banana peppers, jalapenos, onion, tomatoes, red pepper, black olives, plenty of cheese and a side of tasty salsa and fresh sour cream. I also ordered FDG (fries, dressing and gravy). The FDG tasted pretty good. The atmosphere was nice, inviting, comfortable and spacious. There's an enclosed deck area with seating as well. The menu had some great options. A few vegetarian selections. They also offer some great desert options including a variety of ice cream. Offered at the restaurant are locally made crafts which are unique and beautiful but can only be purchased with cash only. I would recommend bringing cash as these items are worth buying. The server/cashier was friendly, knowledgeable about the menu and local crafts, she was helpful and patient.

This restaurant goes hand-in-parcel with a set of amazing cottages. The restaurant is very clean, spacious, bright, and inviting. However, the menu has "far far" too many items to choose from which can be overwhelming when attempting to decide on a meal. The waitress was relatively knowledgeable but reserved with details. Our meals were served to our table too fast for comfort. The turkey, roast beef, vegetables and gravy were all frozen and thawed in the microwave. If that wasn't enough, the meats were freezer-burned. The fries were good. I would highly recommend their cabins, but not the restaurant.

The special that day included cod fish with fries. So, we had pan fried cod (fresh and tasty) with fries (fresh but a bit bland), garlic bread (ok) and calamari ( tasty and fresh ). Sauces they came with were ok not something extraordinary. We enjoyed the meal and found the price reasonable. You could see ocean from the window. Location wise the place is great. Restaurant was very clean and the service was great as well.

Really disappointed we chose this restaurant for our Bonavista meal. The batter on the cod wasn’t the good stuff you get around the bay. It wasn’t even cooked properly. Soggy on one side and rubbery on top? I wakes in and asked if they served wedgies and she said yes. When they arrived at the table…. They were French fries with a different batter. Anyone from Newfoundland knows what wedgies look like….. these were not them! They weren’t even a ‘wedge!’ Calamari rings ended up being the babies with the eyes…. Yuck! The batter was gross again…..

Kids ordered appetizer boxes and the amount on menu was bot what they got AND everything was undercooked. Mozzarella sticks were frozen inside. Fries were pasty white with no crisp. Ugh this place was disgusting and it costed us $60 for food we threw out when we left the restaurant.

We drove to the lighthouse and then came back around and as we drove by we all saw people in the parking lot and we were yelling ‘don’t go in there! Save your money and get better food...

The food I ordered was not overly great but the fries and gravy were! Got a club sandwich but it was 95% dark meat (which I feel should be disclosed, but I also could have asked. I’ve never encountered that before.) After picking it off it was mostly just bread, lettuce, tomato, bacon and a Kraft cheese slice which was warm and congealed under the fries. Not appetizing but I would go again and try something else- my partner had the breakfast poutine and said it was incredible! The menu is also huge and really great prices so there’s definitely something for everyone. Our waitress was also very sweet! Great...
