Stay away! Waited with our baby in the restaurant for an hour and 15 minutes for fried food and never got it. Meanwhile, the table that ordered 15 minutes after us all had their food before we left. We asked for it to go as it was getting close to the baby's bed time and she was starting to fuss(with good reason). We got the food home (1 minutes up the road) and my wrap was so soggy and impossible to even eat as a wrap. The lettuce was brown and soggy. There were literally 2 people in there when we sat down and I was told that it took so long because they had "so many orders ". We went about a month ago for pickup. I got there for our pickup time and I was told it would be a few minutes. Fine, no big deal. Well a few minutes turned into 30 minutes, which again, is getting to be past our baby's bed time. The chef came out and told me she forgot to turn the fryer on. Why tell me it would be a few minutes when you knew this? We thought we would give them a second chance tonight but that was obviously a mistake and that's just how it is here. Bad service and soggy food. The best part is that the manager was apparently there and didn't even bother to come talk to me or attempt to apologize. I wouldn't waste your time and money going here or ordering take out. It's too bad because it's so close to home and we thought it would be our regular go to restaurant. I also want to add that the place is not very clean so I can only imagine what the kitchen looks like. If you're going to serve that soggy food, clearly your standards are not very high...
Read moreWORLDS LONGEST WAIT! This place has become a bit of a joke. I called shortly after 5pm to order takeout and was told the food wouldn't be ready until 6:20pm, which I thought was a bit excessive but gave them the benefit of the doubt. I arrived at 620pm, and continued to wait in the restaurant for an additional 25 minutes. Our order consisted of two pizzas, a hot hamburger sandwich, and some assorted appetizers. Certainly nothing that would justify the nearly 2 hours between placing the order and when I received my food. The part that bothered me the most was that I wasn't offered any type of explanation, apology, or discount (i.e. refunding my generous tip) for the comically long wait, which is what prompted me to write this review in the first place. A little respect towards your patrons would go a long way towards feeling like staff actually cares. In addition to the snails-pace at which the food was prepared, I could hear the workers in the back panicking loudly over something while I waited. We have gotten food here many times before, and while the food itself is typically decent, there always seems to be something wrong with the order as well as the ridiculously long wait. This past time was the last straw, and our family wonât be giving The Dinner Bell our business in the future, nor will we be recommending it to out-of-towners who are visiting. This certainly doesnât seem like the proper way to...
Read moreWe stopped here to grab some take out as we had a dog in the vehicle with us. Awful service! Took my order and paid in advance ($40 for burger and chicken finger platters, no drinks). Took over an hour to get our food! First time I asked after half an hour, the cook said there was a delay with thawing the chicken (thawing chicken fingers???). After the second couple in the sit down restaurant had eaten and left, I demanded a refund. Only then that the waitress said that the burger was getting dressed. Finally got out food after an hour and 15 minutes. Eating in the car, I got some sort of chicken breast sandwich instead of a burger. The fries were dry and chewy. Terrible. I didn't want to go back in so I just ate it I was so hungry. The restaurant itself looks more like a souvenir shop than a restaurant and the A/C was way too small so I was waiting in a sweaty sauna. ...
