Poor poor poor customer service by a Trini staff at front, I was regular to Alimas and me and my friends/family won’t be back anymore. There is confusion between customers on pick up and order line and few of us waited in a wrong line and service was denied for me and gentleman in front of me whereas rest of all in front of us was given their pre ordered pickup. We requested the next line customers if we can be accommodated as we’re waiting there for almost good 25 minutes and this particular staff at front even denied this. And this same lady served few other Trini customers before us and me and the gentleman in-line before me were are from different nation. I believe this was a racist behaviour from this staff, she even threatened the customer who accommodated us to be in the pickup/order line saying if you want to order or else to move away from the line. Sorry, this is unacceptable and very poor customer service. I placed my order at 11:00 am was given a pick up time at 3:00 pm, was there inside store since 2:50 pm, waited in line till 3:25 pm to face this racist and rude behaviour from this staff, I had guests waiting at home for food. Just because of 1 persons arrogance the whole dinner plans for a dozen of individuals are ruined. Very bad and shameful act, you didn’t have to ridicule me and the other customer in front of other customers who clearly understood what happened. Hope this is not what the management or owner promotes or would like to be reflected on their behalf. Be polite, kind and patient...

This spot truly delivered on authentic Caribbean flavors! I spend two months out of the year in Trinidad and Tobago, so I’ve come to know the real deal—and this place didn’t disappoint.
I started with an Aloo Pie with Chana, and the taste was absolutely incredible. It instantly reminded me of being back in the islands. I also had a hot double, which was phenomenal, and grabbed some frozen doubles to take home. My only suggestion would be to have all the sauces available upfront while preparing the Aloo Pie and doubles, but that’s a minor detail.
For my main, I had a Paratha Roti with curry beef. The beef was tender, perfectly seasoned, and the portion size was generous—plenty to take home and enjoy later. My wife ordered the Dhal Roti with curried shrimp and was so impressed with the flavor and seasoning. She did wish there was a little more shrimp in her roti, but honestly, who wouldn’t want more shrimp?
The service made the experience even better. The lady who served me was polite, helpful, and made me feel truly appreciated as a customer. Overall, I was very impressed and will definitely be coming back for more of these authentic and...
Read moreToday was my second time coming to Alima roti shop because I was very impressed with the food I received and I asked for a simple order of 2 paratha roti and curry chicken and I physically pointed to the sign that said curry chicken 1lb container. When my order came the lady gave me paratha roti wrap with curry chicken which was NOT what I ordered. When I notified the lady she said it is MY fault my order is wrong because I didn't tell her I wanted the curry chicken separate. We had a dispute over what I clearly told her and she continued to blame me and say it's my fault I didn't say the order right???? Obviously she couldn't get past pointing fingers and not owning up to her fault so I asked if there is anything she can do so I can have the food I once again simply ordered in the first place. She offered me to buy another two paratha roti (on top of the money I already spent) and "scrap the curry chicken from the wrap into a container". HA!WOW! To think this place was a hidden gem...not with that joke of customer service.
No words for how disappointed and shocked by how poor the customer...
