RATING: 1 SONIC BOOM OUT OF 5!
Order Short, Service Shorter – A Combo of Mistakes and Missed Manners
My recent experience with Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen located at 6445 Mayfield Rd, Brampton, ON L6P 4N2, on Sunday, May 11th, 2025, at 1635 HRS (4:35 PM) via Uber Eats (Order #981), was notably below standard and unacceptable by any measure of professional food service.
I ordered the 3-Piece Bonafide Chicken Combo (Spicy) with a selection of Mixed White and Dark Meat, Cajun Fries (Medium), a bottled Fuze Iced Tea, and a biscuit. However, upon opening the delivered order, I discovered that only two pieces of Dark Meat were included, with no White Meat as specified, and worse, only two pieces of chicken were present instead of three. This reflects not just a lapse in order accuracy, but a clear failure in quality control and verification procedures at the store level.
At 1639 HRS (4:39 PM), I contacted the store directly to report these issues. The staff member I spoke with—a female employee—did not respond with concern or professionalism. Instead, she took an immediately defensive stance, insisting that she had packed the order herself and effectively dismissed my concern without even offering to verify the situation or apologize. This behavior reflects a critical breakdown in basic customer service principles, including active listening, accountability, and conflict resolution.
From a customer service standpoint, the core issue here was not just the inaccurate order, but the attitude and unprofessional conduct of the staff member. Arguing with a customer who is raising a legitimate issue, rather than engaging in any form of service recovery protocol, reflects a disregard for service integrity and hospitality ethics. This is especially disappointing coming from a brand that prides itself on Southern-inspired hospitality.
For an order that failed both in execution and in follow-up, and for the complete lack of courtesy or ownership displayed during my call, I am left with no choice but to issue a 1 Sonic Boom out of 5. I hope that management reviews this not just as an isolated incident, but as an opportunity to retrain frontline staff on proper guest interaction and service...
Read moreWorst experience of my life. The scenario was i was a contractor working nearby and as it was cold outside, the water in my car was icy cold. So i went inside and asked for tap water. They told me it would be $2.50 for the tap water. I did not have any choice so i paid it. Then they gave me a glass and asked me to press the water button that dispenses water. Then i noticed the water was icy cold too which was not drinkable at all. Hence they made money out of a needy person and not even gave him what he asked for. This is all the management's fault. They need to train their staff. They cannot charge for tap water. You can charge for glass for sure, even Tim hortons charge 10 cents for it but not the tap water. Its okay i paid for water as well but whats the point if i get the same icy cold water that is not even drinkable. I don't mind overpaying when I'm stuck as long as i get what i requested. Such a devastating experience. I left out thirsty. Such a bad store. No humanity left these greedy people. I would avoid this store as much as possible.
Think about it. If they are doing these things, just imagine what quality of products they might be using in the kitchen. 🤮. You can never trust a greedy store run by...
