Jane's Restaurant & Pizza — Restaurant in Bras d'Or

It was sadly disappointing. When we came in and told the staff we had 7 people, they seemed very annoyed. There was lots of space available in the dining room but they made us feel like it was huge imposition to push two tables together.

The food was hit and miss. The wings were really overdone, and the Caesar salad was packed full of mushrooms… who puts mushrooms in a Caesar salad? When they asked why it wasn’t eaten we explained that we weren’t expecting mushrooms in the salad, and they stated very matter of factly that it’s how they make it. Not sorry to hear that. Not can we get you something else.

The soup was good and our son enjoyed his hot dog and fries, but overall not a great experience and wouldn’t go back.

I called and ordered a hero sandwich yesterday well I thought it was a sandwich but the girl came out with a hero pizza which I never heard of I politely said that’s not my order I ordered a hero sub she then responded that I didn’t say hero sandwich ok maybe that was my fault but if I was to order a hero pizza I would have told them what size I wanted but they gave me at least a large maybe an extra large they just took it among themselves to make me a large pizza and for 34$ it was terrible this is the second time in a row for the poor service at this place I will never be returning and will tell everyone what happened and to stay away the food went way down in quantity but way up in price. Pretty sad that after spending $66 on dinner tonight it was cold, soggy, and a poor excuse for dinner. All still starving after this because half of the food was inedible. We ordered spaghetti & meatballs, clams, a burger and Fries the works…spaghetti was rubbery,meatballs tasted like cardboard, clams were cold, the burger was crumbling and the buns were so soggy, the works fries were soggy, the cheese wasn’t even melted and the ground beef was cold…kind you Janes is only 2mins down the road from us so it shouldn’t be cold and their garlic bread is an absolute travesty! The bread was half toasted, the butter was caked on and not melted and was bland as all hell…never going back here and for anyone who actually likes their food I think you’ve lost...
