Everything here is delicious and authentic. But I was dissapointed that such a charming and seemingly sweet place not only sells foi gras, but when I asked about it, they weren't even aware of the controversy behind it. Sad that it is still legal in Canada to produce foi gras and that such places continue to support this barbarically inhumane and cruel practice by selling it.

Thank heavens that foie-gras production is banned in several countries, including most of the Austrian provinces, India, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Norway, Poland, Turkey, UK and in all of California.

Foi gras is produced by excessive cruel force feeding that ultimately induces liver disease (hepatic lipidisis) in ducks. It is a barbarically inhumane and disturbing practice that causes insane suffering to poor innocent ducks who suffer a fearful and debilitating existence. How is it still even possible to produce and sell in...

I'm not the one to write bad reviews about a business since I myself am a business owner and know how hard we work to keep standards high and everyone happy. First off, the food was outstanding, that's not the problem. The person that served us was awful. Trust me I'm pretty easy going, takes me a lot to get annoyed. You know the feelling u get when someone is Impatient and looks like she hates her job! That's what we got. We ordered to go, it was our first time there (we are from Montreal), we had no idea that a "boîte à lunch" existed. We had a couple of questions. Oh man was she annoyed!!! Anyhow, I did not say anything...should have. You know when u pay 52$ for 2 lunches and a few things, u kind of expect them to say thank you when u give a tip (a good one at that). Nada! So that being said..a tip is never mandatory..its earned. All the other staff were really nice and quick to get our...

The food is good here. The service, not so great. I had to ask a server for a menu as no one was coming to see me. Server offered me something to drink, I asked for tea. She brought box of tea selection but never came back. I chose a tea, put it on the table and another server came to get the tea box. At that point, it should’ve been obvious I was interested in tea. No one ever came to bring hot water. Then I returned the tea bag saying I had never received the hot water. No apologies what so ever. Not even a glass of water was offered to me. The whole meal was consumed without even a care if everything was good. I work in the service industry and your staff should be trained to care for the service they provide and the food they offer. There was nothing warm and fuzzy about my experience at your...

Absolutely love this bakery! The colors and textures jumps to the eyes in the moment you walk i, fresh bread, buttery croissants, and warm smiles. Everything tastes homemade with real care. Their almond croissant is pure perfection, special attention to Lorraine Quiche! Must try if you love pork! Staff are always kind and welcoming, and you can tell they genuinely love what they do. It’s the kind of place that makes you slow down, grab a coffee, and enjoy the moment. Definitely my go-to spot for weekend mornings and little moments of joy during the week.

Cutest little bakery ever, as an Artist this was the most beautiful place ever. Love the wood. It smells so good, their food is equally good. Ive discovered the places 5 years ago, and the various workers are just as kind and amicable and always smiling but genuinely. I even saw a little squirrel thing chipmunk kind, theyre so rare. Its a bit far from Montréal but totally worth it. Bromont is truly a stunning town with an equally matching bakery.

What a treat for a small city like Bromont to have a place like Canael. Every item I had (macarons, tarts, bread/croissants, and of course the pâté en croûte Champenois) was excellent!! You can tell the staff take their work very seriously and hold to a very high standard. This place is a must-visit!!
