Canadian Pizza Plus — Restaurant in Burnaby

Been ordering from them for a couple years now, always liked the food until we found a piece of long grey hair from the pizza we have ordered last night. Yuck...Not to mention the driver was an hour late, really not impressed.

Dear owner, Thank you for your response. I want to take the time to reply to your comment because I feel like some explanations need to be clarified. You would not find my address on your record because I have been ordering pick-up, as I only live 5 minutes away. If you looked at the telephone records (however you record your customer details), you would have found that we order from you at least once every month or two. Secondly, thank you for explaining that your staff wear a double hair net. It still does not change the fact that we did find a long grey hair in our pizza. Our words against yours, I guess, since we did not bother taking a picture. Lastly, for the delivery delay, there is no doubt that sometimes unexpected delays happen. What was annoying about it was that you gave a customer a time frame and failed to deliver within the time frame, and when I called you to follow up on the order, you also failed to mention that the order had to be re-done. The first response was that the driver was stuck on the road; the second was that there were many orders, and the driver was on his way. One of your staff eventually called me back, which I appreciate after calling to follow up 3 times and telling me that the driver JUST picked up the order. I think you can see my frustration due to the inconsistencies of your reasons. At this point, cancelling the order would not make sense as I have already paid for the pizza online. I hope you understand my frustration and take some time to reflect on...

Let’s start off by saying the previous reviews are dated by years back when the business was a lot better to say the least . I am not sure if the business has changed hands but’ it is nothing like it was a few years back. My wife and I would order quite regularly a few years back when the pizza was good value for the quality of food. So tonight my wife and I thought we would give it a try since it’s been about 2 years from the last order why not see if its still decent. As for price value can’t really hold that against the business everything is expensive sign of the times. So let’s go back to why I am writing this review is to express my concerns on what we had for a delivery order we already established prices are sign of the time. The food so call pizza was nothing like it was a few years back. This pizza was by far the Worst mess I have ever come across in pizza establishment. And if you look on line chances are you will come across 3 different menus to order from and 3 different sets of prices. The website is so misleading by how they explain their dish’s don’t make sense combinations are not in order meaning for more it costs less and for less it costs more whats with that. Nevertheless we had a few slices and tossed all of it in the garbage so bad I was concerned of getting sick from it later on. I am fortunate I can take this cramp and toss it but for some that are not Please Don’t Waste your money take it as a warning the worst pizza. Just a matter of time before they close doors on this business F.N Garbage hope I don't get sick...

We order for family meals when we are all gathered in Burnaby for sure and at other times when there are just 3 or 4 of us. We all love it, it’s a hit whatever we order and everyone is happy from the 4 year old to the 74 year old. The serving sizes are reasonable, the sauces are tasty and well developed and the Naan and rice pudding are both addictive. Definitely just a take out place not eat in but that’s what we are looking for so it is perfect. The spice level is good - for little people no or less spice and for the rest of us medium or hotter are great and again not just heat but flavour. We always say we are going to try the pizza because they look great but we never get past the Indian food. Our family and extended family are definite fans. On top of everything the staff are great and have a sense of humour. We all volunteer for pick up it’s a pleasant experience. The smell when you walk in is just delicious, you know you are in for a good experience. On the rare occasion when we have left overs - we pick up fresh naan here and have a nice lunch...
