Horrible Experience and faced a big time Racism.

My husband and I visited here for dinner last night to celebrate his birthday with friends so group of 4 people. When server got our cheque she said everything is included and upon asking she rudely mentioned that she included gratuity. To my surprise, it is an unexpected charge as on their menu it clearly states that it is only applied to group of 6 or more people. When i confirmed with her and asked to double check with Manager, she said menu has not been upgraded but it is applied to group of 4 or more people on which I trusted. She did not even hesitate to mention that people do not leave tip even after spending $300 . To us we felt it was discriminatory and very disrespectful.

We called today to speak with manager and to confirm about the policy.The host and manager confirmed that autograt applies to group of 6 or more people. Waoo, It is very disappointing to hear and shooked me off. when we complained about last night, He offer us a refund of gratuity and when we denied his offer that it is not about money it is much more concerning to us since it is discrimination and insult for us to dine in there. He did not seem to care and hung the call.

My husband has been here before and has spent over $500 dollar with a group of 3 people and has still been charged gratuity at then he dint care since amount was higher. If we can spent money on dinner, we do tip better than gratuity since we understand the hard-work servers do but this kind of service is extremely beyond expected.

Would never visit...

Time for a brunch meet-up for my family of 3 and my relatives on our regular basis.

My wife saw Villa Caledon Inn and would like to try out another place for a more comfy setting. We were expecting to be seated in the Patio.

My relative and her hubby showed up and to our surprise, were sitting in the "La Villa Room". That's even better for a party of 5.

The menu was a simple 3 pager, and I had a feeling that these Google Reviews for once were for real.

I ordered Fish and Chip while my wife went for the Alfredo Fettucine. My son liked his usual choice of burger, and in this case, McCarty Burger.

My fish and chip was properly salted battered!. Fries was just right and not over-fried. Coleslaw was amazingly fresh!

Wife's Alfredo Fettucine tasted great. She said all ingredients were fresh, and the portion size was great too. I had the taste of her dish, but (only my recent weak stomach) I thought the mushroom was too fresh and chewy. It would be hard for my stomach. Heating the mushroom a little longer for softening would make it even better in my opinion.

McCarty burger did not disappoint my son. He already told me next time he should tried Penne Alla Vodka!

Three of us went for coffee. Wow, you really have to try the coffee! I am telling you that the coffee was done with the greatest taste of all!

We had a happy party of 5 thinking about the food for next time...

My friend and I just went here for lunch. We were so excited to catch up and go for lunch as it’s been a year since we last saw each other. We wanted to go somewhere new and try something different. The food was amazing, I have absolutely no complaints about that . Unfortunately, both my friend and I were super disappointed with the service that we received. This is one thing we have noticed as younger females, that we tend to not get great service from other younger females. I’m not sure if it’s because they believe that we won’t tip well or what not, but the service was pretty bad. We had waited over 25 minutes for our server to come back and even as if we would like her to bring us our bill. Additionally, I had gotten an Irish coffee. And it was really not good at all, so I ordered another drink and I didn’t drink any of that coffee. And the server didn’t even question why that drink wasn’t even drunk or anything like that and still charged me for it. Which is fine, like I do understand that you have to cover cost of an item. And it’s my fault because I ordered it. But the fact that there was no Recognition of the fact that this full of drink hadn’t been touched was a little unnerving. We definitely won’t be returning our recommending this restaurant unfortunately. Which is kind of disappointing because the food...
