I really wanted today to high note but unfortunately it didn’t. I went to The Lookiut tonight and ordered the Mango Iced Tea Mocktail and Steak Frites. The mango iced tea was so good that I’m taking notes: Mango puree, iced tea, mint leaves and a lemon wedge. Simple yet delicious. Unfortunately the steak frites is where it ends. Both the steak and the fries were overly salted. Very overly salted. The meat itself was okay… but I sadly ordered Medium Rare and got Medium. I was disappointed to say the least. I also felt that service forgot about me a couple times. I was there for at least an hour and a half which was twice as long as I would expect one person to be. It wasn’t too busy either. The view itself and the drink were the only good things. It was entertaining to watch the driving range. It’s a very nice and quiet area as well. After prices, tax and a little tip, everything was $41.85.

Probably the best Pizza I have eaten in years (Chicken Bianco) Wifes Cajun Chicken Alfredo was also a 10/10. The patio is great, the drinks were good! However, the service was lacking, and this is why I reduced one star. Drink menu taken after order, never asked if we needed another drink or water refills, and we waited nearly 20 minutes for a chance to ask waitress for water refills, and then she only brought one. Another 15 minutes wait to ask for the bill and a couple to go boxes. Work on the service and it would be 5☆ all day long. Will likely try again when back in Calgary. Food was great, but sadly with a $100+ bill, we expected better service considering it was a Monday evening and not very busy with several servers working.

We had a brunch for 80 people at the Lookout YYC. The whole experience from first contact for planning to the event was very smooth. Sharna was knowledgeable, prompt and very helpful with the suggestions and in accommodating our needs. On the day of the event, Tony was excellent in making sure that audio, video as well as catering needs were taken care of. Our guest couldn't stop talking about the food ( vegetarian & non-vegetarian) and the venue! This "hidden gem" is certainly going to be on their mind when they plan any of their events. Elegant and cozy venue and excellent food!!

The above rating should read 3.5

This restaurant has so much potential, but is severely impaired by the empty space within the echo chamber of an empty restaurant. If weather had not allowed us to eat on the patio we would have had to eat inside, and we would have gone elsewhere, but the patio is a very nice space. Hopefully in the future the management will dress the inside of the restaurant space, so it does not appear simply abandoned, making the inside seating desirable, but it is not currently. It absolutely has 5 star potential.

The restaurant itself is surrounded by a beautiful golf course, and overlooks the driving range, and great views, making the patio the place to be! Great atmosphere out there.

The food and drinks, were beautiful, with a high level of care given to their visual appearance..  picture perfect, very well  done. The portions of the food and drinks were also Very good, with a good value for the price, they did not disappoint. But our table had two fish dishes, and both fish dishes the fish flavor was a bit underwhelming, I did not taste either.  The service was also excellent, and we were well looked after by the friendly staff.

The shortcomings of the restaurant are quite simply, the abandoned interior space, and its lack of development, this space could be easily a desirable sitting restaurant space... And our fish dishes, I suspect had we avoided the fish our come away review would have been much better.

We look forward to giving the restaurant another chance...

Really really disappointing. We came here last year (2024) for my mom’s birthday, and it was great. However, we came back again for her birthday this year and it was a massive letdown. The service was absolutely horrible. The servers were rude, and completely inattentive. Our food took almost 45 minutes to come out, and our server did not return to check on us at all once it was dropped off. We were not offered refills on any of our drinks during our meal, including the waters on the table. Anytime we needed something, we had to wave a random server down, who acted like we were a complete inconvenience to them. The food is nothing special. One of the burgers we ordered was severely burnt and had to be sent back. The indoor dining room is extremely loud, and very cold. Additionally, we made reservations in advance requesting a patio table and noting it was a birthday. When we arrived we were informed (rather rudely and dismissively) that they do not do patio reservations, and there was absolutely no acknowledgement about the birthday. Overall, we will not be returning. Extremely...
