Gave the large poutine and half pound of wings a shot which totalled over $21.

Poutine:

Cost - On the expensive side for what you're getting; Fries - Over cooked with a dark golden color, crunchy not crispy, gravy was unable to properly incorporate itself due to the level of cooking;

Gravy - Hot and effective in melting the cheese, dark brown tone with a decent flavor, however on the generic commercial gravy side of things . I'd suggest the owners add a little spice to give it an individual twist;

Cheese - They utilize cheese curds which was a relief to see! Too many places are opting to use shredded cheese. So kudos for the cheese curds!

Wings:

Style - Breaded, not over cooked;

Quantity - 6 total;

Sauce - variety of sauces but they come on the side, so if you're hoping for them to be tossed in the sauce you'll have to do that yourself;

Taste - Nothing exciting, kind of like a basic frozen breaded chicken wing cooked.

Overall visit:

Customer service: Friendly and polite staff; Building - A walk up window building, similar to chip trucks;

Convenience - Currently cash only, in a world where technology has developed app based payment systems such as square, it's quite unacceptable. Hopefully the owners have intentions to accept card payments in the near future;

Menu - Multiple items available in a variety of sizes;

Prices - On the higher end for fast food, comparable to chip stands, however the prices displayed do not include HST. The owners should consider having the prices after HST displayed like most cash only...

Me and my son went to the fork after school to grab dinner for the family. We ordered a pogo two Bacon ranch poutines (a must try if you love poutine) one regular poutine, mac and cheese bites (which my son's claims to be the best mac and cheese in the north and he knows his mac and cheese trust me). Also a broccoli bacon and cheese bite that was recommended by the young man that was serving us. I noticed he was working there by him self and I thought we were going to wait 20+min for our order. Well to my surprise he had everything ready in 10min, on top of everything he was super polite and friendly. The food was ALL cooked to perfection and delicious, especially those broccoli bites, will be back soon for more tasty treats.

Thank you fork and that young man.

PS... I would have posted pics but the food was gone before I thought about the review, next time I will post...

Have eaten here often. GREAT fish and chips, but today we came for a large poutine to share.

Service - always pleasant Quantity -Great Seating - there are several picnic tables well spaced plus a few chairs to wait for your order. Flavour - their fries are absolutely delish, nice and crispy, no peeling. Their gravy is alright, pretty standard. They ad shredded and curds, although this time there were very few curds.

They add gravy and cheese on top, but also in the middle.

We normally call ahead and order, sometimes they are so busy they do not answer, but we've also had one time when they called us back =)

There is a steep hill to walk up to get to them, I am sure stairs will be...

We were heading back from a day trip to North Bay while at a cottage in Port Loring. We were pleasantly surprised by the kind service and quality of the food. I had the pickle party poutine and it was probably my favorite pickle poutine to date! And I have tried them all lol (big pickle enthusiast) We also got the onion rings and mushroom caps which again we were surprised at how good they were. They have a great outdoor seating area with a giant connect 4 game, which my son really loved. They have indoor seating as well, but we opted for outside seating and played the game. We will be making this a stop on our yearly trip for sure. Thank you, we will be back.

I traveled all the way from Colombia to enjoy a vacation with my friends in Astorville—what an incredible experience! Kurt introduced me to this charming restaurant, a hidden gem nestled among the trees right beside the gas station. It's the perfect spot for a relaxing brunch, offering great vibes and friendly customer service. The food is delicious and impressively fast. If you're in the area—whether in Callander or even as far as North Bay—don’t miss the chance to visit this family-owned restaurant. It’s well worth the stop and will make your day!
